The Father-the Son-the Holy Ghost

If the Godhead is made up of three different persons, and also exist as three very different persons, or three different individuals. The same that we have founded many to have taught, then which of these two individual Godheads could have been the Father of our Savior?
We know that God the Father claimed this, when it is said in the Book of St John: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.â€Â
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.â€Â

We know that in the Book of St. Luke, which the angel told Mary that the Ghost Holy should come upon thee, then the Holy thing that shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
“And, behold thou shall conceived in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus.â€Â
“He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:â€Â
“And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.â€Â
“Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I knew not a man?â€Â
“And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.â€Â

We know that at Christ’s Baptism in the Book St. Luke: “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to passed, that Jesus also being baptized, and prayed, the heaven was opened,â€Â
“And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.â€Â
We know that the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily form of a dove upon Jesus, and a voice then came down from Heaven, a voice we knew had to be coming from God in Heaven. This was God giving his love for his only Son with a voice coming down from Heaven, with the Holy Ghost setting upon the body of Christ, this was as he Glorified the will of the Father and Son.

We find many now that does not believe in the Trinity, there are many that believe in nothing but the Father. While there are also others that believe in nothing but our one and only Christ, and there are also now those that believe in nothing but the Holy Spirit.
Then there are many that also believed that in the beginning there was only our one and only Father, which were then our one and only God the creators. Then only within the New Testament their one and only God was then only known as our Christ being our Savior, and now today our one and only God is now only known as the Holy Ghost, or the Holy Spirit that governs us here on earth.
We know that this cannot be true, for even in the very beginning of the Bible, whenever it came to the words of our Godhead. We find that from these words that came from our Godhead it was always let us do this, or let us do that, as we find in the beginning of the Book of Genesis.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.â€Â
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.â€Â
We also find in the Book of Genesis: “And The Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:â€Â

I once heard this pastor-preaching saying that we still have many that is still looking only unto Christ for any and all things. For many are still looking to Christ for their Glory of the Godhead, for their miracles, and also unto their many rewards and gifts. He also went on to say that Christ have given us his all, and this was almost two thousand years ago, and now we must and will have to look farther – by going only unto the Holy Spirit.
For we must now go to the Holy Ghost, which has now taken Christ’s place for all of these things; which we are now facing, and also our many needs of today. We must now follow after the Holy Ghost for his leadership, and also our many miracles and breakthrough, which we shall now find only coming from within the Holy Spirit many great rewards.

I know that Christ was the one that paid the price for my Salvation, this was when he died on the cross. Christ was the one that took my place and died for my sins, and it was the Father that gave his one and only Son, that I might inherit this the Kingdom in Heaven.
With this being the one and only Kingdom, in which Christ inherited after his own resurrection from his Father. Knowing that this blood, which Christ had giving for me on Calvary, this was and would be the only sacrifice that could have redeemed me. This is also something else that I believe and know that as long as I live here on earth, I will also have to face these many great temptations coming from Satan.

Then as long as I live here within Christ’s kingdom here on earth, and have to face Satan’s temptation, I will never outgrow my needs for Christ through the Father. I will always need this Great Spirit coming from the Father and the Son as one, this Great Spirit that Glorified the Father and Son as one within the Holy Ghost, and making them one within this Great Godhead.

This is the same Spirit that Christ prayed for unto his Father, a Spirit that would make his disciples and also his many followers as one. This was also the much more Glorious Spirit, which had made Christ and his Father one within this great Godhead.
For there is no way we can pray unto the Holy Ghost without praying unto Christ and also the Father, for this is the Father and the Son within one, as Christ prayed for his disciples and also for the people – within the Book of St. John.

“Neither pray I for them alone, but for them also which shall believe on me though their word;â€Â
“That they may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.â€Â
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:â€Â
“I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.â€Â

We are thankful for this love which, we find coming through the Spirit of our Godhead, A love coming through the Holy Spirit, being the holiness of the Father and the Son. This Holy Spirit is the tool or instrument within the Godhead, for within this Holy Spirit we find the Spirit of God the Father. Then also in this Holy Spirit we find the Spirit our God the Son, for within these two Spirits, we also find the Holy Spirit.

I have never found anything in the Bible, which mention or taught about the Spirit of the Holy Spirit, or the Spirit of the Holy Ghost. We have only found the Spirit of the Father, and the Spirit of the Son. Then within the love of these two Spirits of Holiness, they come together as one. We find in the Holy Ghost the Trinity of one, with this being the Spirit of the Father and Son in one.
This was also the beginning of the spirit of Life, the same as we find in the Book of Genesis: “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.â€Â
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the grown, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.â€Â

Then in the Book of Isaiah, we find the spirit of our Salvation, becoming the spirit of our expectation. “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:â€Â
“And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;â€Â

Once again invading the Four Gospels of the New Testament, we find much about the Holy Ghost, being the Spirit of the Father and the Son. With this being the sacrifice and love of our Godhead, with the Father he so loving the world that he willing to gave his one and only begotten Son, and with Christ he so love the church, which he was willing to die for his church.
This is as we start with John the Baptist, being the forerunner of our Christ. “In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,â€Â
“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shl baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.â€Â
“Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.â€Â

The Holy Spirit is NOT a third person-----it is the power of God (Lk 1:35).

According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, 2nd edition, article: Spirit of God (all quotes come from this article) ---

"The OT (Old Testament) clearly does not envisage God's spirit as a person, neither in the strictly philosophical sense, nor in the Semitic sense. God's spirit is simply God's Power.

If it is sometimes represented as being distinct from God, it is because the breath of Yahweh acts exteriorly (Isa. 48:16; 63:11; 32:15).......Very rarely do the OT writers attribute to God's spirit emotions or intellectual activity (Isa. 63:10; Wis.1:3-7). When such expressions are used, THEY ARE MERE FIGURES OF SPEECH that are explained by the fact that the RUAH was regarded also as the seat of intellectual acts and feeling (Gen. 41:8).

Neither is there found in the OT or in rabbinical literature the notion that God's spirit is an intermediary being between God and the world. This activity is proper to the angels, although to them is ascribed some of the activity that elsewhere is ascribed to the spirit of God"

THIS ENCYCLOPEDIA FURTHER STATES:

".......the NT (New Testament) concepts of the Spirit of God are largely a continuation of those of the OT.......The majority of NT texts reveal God's spirit as something, not someone; this is especially seen in the parallelism between the spirit and the power of God.

When a quasi-personal activity is ascribed to God's spirit, e.g., speaking, hindering, desiring, dwelling (Acts 8:29; 16:7; Rom.8:9), one is NOT JUSTIFIED IN CONCLUDING immediately that in these passages God's spirit is regarded as a Person; the same expressions are used in regard to rhetorically personified things or abstract ideas (see Rom.6:6; 7:17).

Thus the context of the phrase 'blasphemy against the spirit' (Mat.12:31; cf. Mat.12:28; Luke 11:20) shows that reference is being made to the power of God".

Scripture is very clear there are 3 that are One.
1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

I think we all know the Father is God Almighty the Creator.
Holy Spirit is specifically stated.
And to see who the Word is all we have to do is look to John chapter 1. It is Christ Jesus!

Hate to be the one to have to break this to you but... that little jewel is not in the original texts but is an addendum. Irenaus left it out of his original translation but the Catholic Church strongarmed him into including it after he had initially omitted it as the addendum that it was.

None the less it is there and I have faith it is there by the inspiration of God Almighty.

The 3 together are mentioned several times in the New Testament. :)
Matthew 28:19
2 Corinthians 13:14
1 Peter 1:2
Romans 14:17-18
Romans 15:16
1 Corinthians 2:2-5
Titus 3:4-6

These 3 are One in spiritual union making up what is called the Godhead, theios {thi'-os} in Koine Greek and deities or divinities as used by the Greeks, or Trinity to some.

Note I said spiritual union of being One!

Just as we have natural/physical examples of 2 or more being One.

Husband and wife are One!
The Church with many member are One!
A family( parents and children) are One!
The United States is One nation!

And you could go on and on.

This One used dose not mean one and the safe as if using the phrase " me, myself and I" No!

They are of One union together.

The oness shared between Jehovah, Jesus and the spirit of Jehovah is the same as that described by Jesus in the book of John which goes on to describe the apostles and those who would believe on Jesus through their testimony as sharing in this oness as well. This no more makes Jesus the same person as Jehovah than it does us.

We are all one in spirit. One of the passages you offered calls this "the communion of the Holy Ghost". A review of the passages you offer does indeed contain instances in which all three are mentioned but any mention of them being the same being or person is not to be found. This notion was first popularised and then cannonised long after Jesus' death.

where's your proof?

yes...it is in the TRANSLATED KING JAMES VERSION...but used as a 'FOOTNOTE' in the NRSV which states that this KJV has over 50,000 errors..(this NRSV is backed by Christian denominations and is the newest out there)....this verse was not stated by Jesus nor God....and you cannot prove the Bible as being from God....but only from the hands of men....translations upon translations, mistakes upon mistakes, and the "trinity" is not taught from the Bible.

Matthew 3

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus must have been a ventriloquist to pull that off.

Acts 7
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

Mark 16
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Bob 10,

You say that the Holy Spirit is not a third person and is the power of God. Have you considered Acts 5:1-4

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back [part] of the price, his wife also being privy [to it], and brought a certain part, and laid [it] at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back [part] of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

It shows right here that lying to the Holy Ghost is lying to God, If the Holy Ghost is not a person, how exactly does the Holy Ghost know that Ananias is lying to him(Holy Ghost). Holy Ghost must have a mind to understand that Ananias is lying.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he(Holy Ghost) shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The Holy Ghost teaches? Wait a minute you say that the Holy Ghost is not a person but the Holy Ghost teaches. When someone teaches someone, that person has to know his/her knowledge in order to teach someone.

GREAT POST! SKIPDAWG! :smt045

Another passage that elucidates the 3 different functions & persons of the ONE God is found in Acts 20: 28

The Apostle Paul in his sermon to the Ephesian elders said:

" Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the HOLY GHOST has made you overseers, to feed the church of GOD, which He has purchased WITH HIS OWN BLOOD.

Observe the Trinitarian statements: "Holy Spirit has made you overseers", "church of God", and " which He purchased with His own Blood."

well, then its another one of the many thingsthat the early Catholic Church did right.

Your putting limits on God, He can be in a million places at the same time.

Right hand of God is a common figure of speach throught the Bible.
God is a spirt no one has seen him so how could his be litteral??

Isa 9:6

6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 43:10 11

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

1 Tim 3:16

16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory

John 10:30

I and my Father are one.

Col 2:8-9

8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Paul said the fulness of the Godhead, not one third.

Sounds like Paul knew the Trinity was comming.
