The abomination which causes desolation is not a man sitting in a seat. No man has ever caused desolation by sitting down.
Also, Daniel made it very clear that it is not a man that places the abominstion that causes desolation in Jerusalem. It is placed there by the norths armed forces.When studying scripture, I'd advise you to pay attention to what the prophet says and less to people's interpretations of what the prophet has said.
Having relatives presently serving in the norths armed forces, I can assure you the armed forces will not place a man sitting in a seat in Jerusalem to destroy those nations who attack and kill our friend and ally Israel. Our armed forces will in fact carry out Israel's last option.

In more places than one scripture shows Christ reigning from Jerusalem.
After the beast is destroyed and those who did not worship the beast are resurrected, they will reign(WITH CHRIST) from Jerusalem.

Now, unless you can think of another city upon earth where you believe Christ and his elect are going to reign from, where scripture says is upon earth and will be surrounded by Gog and his troops or if you can prove John has lied in his testimony, then yes Christ reigns from Jerusalem.

Ezekiel 40-48 - In 572 B.C., fourteen years after Nebuchadnezzar II laid siege to Jerusalem causing the destruction of the city and Solomon's Temple, Ezekiel returns in a vision to the fallen city and is given detailed specifications of the reconstruction of the temple, the city and the land. After an intricate description of the new outer court, inner court and the temple Ezekiel views the return of the glory of the Lord to the temple from the east. Regulations concerning worship in the coming temple are followed by revelations concerning the new land and the city.
What Ezekiel is given in his visions by God deals with the literal temple, but also the prophetic of the new outer court, inner court and the temple within the New Jerusalem that God will usher down from heaven after this present earth and first heaven have passed away and all things made new again.
The outer court of the Tabernacle in the wilderness and later the Temple was the place of sacrifice. It was where sin was dealt with. It represents our life when we first came to Jesus who is our sacrifice for sin who washed us clean by His blood after we repented and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
Our walk with God has to progress from the outer court (milk) into the Holy Place (meat) being the inner court as we begin to Spiritualy mature and know Him more intimately as we develop a personal relationship with Him. It's all about relationship.
Then we progress to the Temple where is found the Holy of Holies as we become the Temple of God where His Shekinah glory dwells in us.
Below explains the timing when Jesus will plant His feet across from the eastern gate as He stands on the Mount of Olives. It's only Jewish tradition that states that Jesus will pass through the Eastern Gate when He comes to rule. The problem is that Ezekiel specifically says the gate he saw is the outer gate of the sanctuary being that of the temple court, not a gate of the city, Ezekiel 44:1. The Eastern Gate that stands today was cemented up by the Muslims in AD 1540 and was not constructed until centuries later after the time of Christ. It was never a part of the old city Jerusalem and not the gate of the outer court.
We do not enter the Millennial Kingdom here on earth in our natural bodies, but in new glorified bodies, 1 Corinthians 15:51-54. When Christ returns in the air on the last day we are then caught up to meet Him in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord as He has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth as we rule with Him over the nations as His enemies have become His footstool in the end of days, John 5:28, 29; 6:40; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Rev 5:10; Psalms 110:1-4; Hebrews 10:12, 13.
Matthew 24:29-31; Rev 19:11-21 Jesus descends down from heaven with His army of the host (angels) of heaven as while remaining in the air He sends His angels out to the four corners of the earth to gather His own to Him. He will destroy the beast and false prophet casting them alive into the lake of fire, Rev 19:15, 16. The remnant in Rev 19:21 are the world leaders of every nation on the earth that have followed after the beast that rules their government. The remnant will be slain by the very words Jesus speaks of their damnation as the fowls will be filled with their flesh and at that time Satan will be chained and bound so he can not interfere with the ungodly people that are still alive on earth that become the footstool of Christ. Then the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of his Christ and He shall reign for ever and the saints will begin to rule over the nations here on earth, Rev 11:15; 5:10; 20:1-3; Matthew 5:5.
Rev 20:7-10 Those that have rejected Christ that still remain on earth after the beast, false prophet and all the ruling leaders from every nation that followed after the beast are destroyed are those who are the numbering as the sand of the sea. These are the enemy of God that Satan uses to battle against the saints during the battle of Armageddon that are camped upon the breadth of the earth after Satan is released for a season, Psalms 2:7-10; 110; Ezekiel 36; 37; Rev 20:7-9. The saints are camped not only in Jerusalem the beloved city of God, but also throughout the breadth of the earth. It's only the 144,000 generational Jews that believe in Christ that have returned to Jerusalem. After the 1000 years are fulfilled Satan is set loosed for a season and goes out to deceive the nations as he gathers the enemies of Christ to battle against the saints as the numbering of unbelievers is like the sand of the sea. As the enemy surrounds the camp of the saints God sends fire down from heaven and destroys the enemy and Satan is cast into the lake of fire. Zechariah 14:1, 2; Luke 21:20 and Rev 16:16 mentions the battle of Armageddon when Christ and His army of angels return as Christ plants His feet on the mount of Olives for the final battle as Gog and Magog found in Ezekiel Chapter 38 is the battle of Rev 20:7-9.
My take on this in how I study all of this is that once this gentile beast out of the earth, Rev 13, being the son of perdition/last antichrist takes his literal seat in Jerusalem, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, claiming he is God will think himself all superior having all power and authority over the earth as he deceives even the very elect of God if possible with lying signs and wonders as Satan works through him causing a great falling away from the truth of God's word. He would think his reign would last up until the day he died and another in procession would take his place by election. But, what he doesn't know is that his reign that will cause great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever, Matthew 24:21, that will cause many of Christ own to die a martyr's death for the sake of Christ will only last 3 1/2 years. Christ will cut those days short when He returns on the last day and by the brightness of His coming will destroy the beast out of the sea and his false prophet casting them alive into the lake of fire, and slaying the remnant by the words He speaks against those leaders from every nation that followed after the beast making their bed with this harlot, Rev 17; 18; 19:11-21.
This is not a literal throne in a literal temple in Jerusalem just like David was not a literal father of Christ, but that He was/is the promised Messiah prophesied of coming from the lineage of King David through that of Mary being one of David's descendants chosen by God to birth the Christ child. This throne that God gives Christ is an everlasting throne as Christ will reign over the house of Jacob forever as His kingdom has no end, Luke 1:26-33.Again, it is written he will sit on the throne of David.

Two other words that describes the word throne are sovereignty and authority as in God's sovereign ruling power having dominion over His kingdom here on earth that He will give Christ who will come to rule the nations with a rod of iron, Psalms 2:1-9; Rev 19:15.
Daniel chapter 11 chronicles the coming kings of Persia and Greece, the wars between the Ptolemies of Egypt and the Seleucids of Syria, and the persecution led by Antiochus. Just as it was in the war of that era so will it be at the end during the final battle of Armageddon.
During its long history, Jerusalem has been destroyed at least twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times. The last siege and destruction of the 2nd Temple and the wall was in 70AD as a revolt led by Titus as he broke through the walls and destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem. The wall and the Temple were never rebuilt, nor will it be in the future. The Temple mount laid waste until the Dome of the Rock was built on it in 691AD by the caliph Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan. The Islamic control over the Dome of the Rock will never surrender the original temple mount back to the Jews, but, even now, are making arrangements for the son of perdition that comes from the revived Roman Empire to take his throne (ruling power) over Jerusalem.

As for the wars in Daniel 11.I have a nefew who had his leg Injured during the second war. The armed forces trained him for another job because he could no longer be a drill instructor.

After about 1000 years Gogs millitary will surround these resurrected saints who did not worship the beast, and fire will come down from heaven and destroy them.
Those resurrected saints will reign with Christ forever in that kingdom. It is an everlasting kingdom which shall never be taken away by anyone. It is established by God on earth and they shall reign with Christ forever.
Now Christ said they will sit with him on his throne. He did not say they shall sit on God's throne on heaven where Christ is now.
After Christ enemies are cast down(the beast). Christ shall sit on his throne.

This is not like regular locusts, it is an army, looking religious, breastplates, jacinth...
This army had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew, Abaddon, Greek, Apollyon..

Well, that's not what our armed forces will set up in Jerusalem to make it desolate. We will use a weapon much like the one we used in Hiroshima. I expect we will use them in many cities in the middle east. We will pretty much destroy everything from Iran to Egypt.

This verse does not say kingdom (singular), like the kingdom or nation of Israel/Jerusalem, but says the kingdoms (plural) of this world and He shall reign forever and ever.

You claim the son of perdition will reign in Jerusalem after the abomination of desolation is placed.
The armed forces of the north does not place the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem till after the king of the south(the beast) has attacked his armed forces in Jerusalem and has taken control of Jerusalem.
We will not tolerate those Muslim ragheads killing our friends and allies. When they attack Israel and our armed forces stationed in Jerusalem we will destroy all thier countries. We will destroy all thier cities. Our missiles will fall from heaven unto the earth so that they appear as falling stars. Our armed forces will destroy as far south as Egypt and no one will be able to set foot in Egypt for 40 years.
I feel the need to interject here sis, LOL. Just thought I would let you know that Revelation 9:1-12 is that of the sounding of the Fifth Trumpet being the first of three woes. Rev 9:13-21 is the sounding of the Sixth Trumpet being the second woe and being that of the horsemen which is different than the locust. I will explain this in two post beginning with this one.

The star John saw that fell from heaven was an angel as angels are sometimes called stars in scripture. This angel having the key to open the bottomless pit could be the same angel we read about in Revelation 20:1-3 that God gives the key to that opens the bottomless pit where Satan is bound. When the bottomless pit was opened locust came up out of it. In reference to a smoke these locust would be to numerous to number, Judges 7:12, and look like dark smoke as they rise and swarm if you saw them from a distance. Once they became closer to your vision you would see that it wasn’t smoke, but a hoard of locust. Their attributes of what God is purposing them for is what gives them their power to sting as in tormenting those who have not the seal of God on them. They are compared as scorpions that literally sting using the power of their tails as they raise them above their head.
God gives specific instructions to keep their focus on what they are being released to accomplish for Gods purpose over the next five months. There is a reason why they are not allowed to hurt the grass or any green thing including trees as we will see in the next few verses. They are only allowed to torment, but not kill those people who do not have Gods seal on them. The torment will be so tremendous that those without Gods seal will want to kill themselves, but God holds His hand against it.
The locusts are actually the fallen angels from heaven that refused to stay in the limits of Gods authority before the flood in Noah’s day, Genesis 6:1, 2; Job 2:1; 1 Peter 3:18-20; 2Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6. These disobedient angels are different then the ones that Satan draws a third of to himself. God has reserved them and set them bound in outer darkness far from the brightness of His glorious realm, or as scripture says chained and bound them into a bottomless pit.
This pit could not be a part of the actual earth as the pits of earth have bottoms so this would be in the spiritual sense of the area of darkness that has no physical location in the Universe. These angels have been spared for the particular purpose that God has for them as they are released by God to torment man for five months then their final judgment comes at the end when they are cast into the lake of fire. These could be the very same angels Jesus went down to preach to before He ascended up to heaven, 1 Peter 3:19, 20.
Angels can do miraculous supernatural things and unfortunately fallen angels can still do many of these same things, as they were created with these abilities. A fallen angel can only attack someone if they have spiritual authority, grounds and rights to do so like that of Satan tormenting Job as it’s Gods authority that uses them to inflict torment on those during His wrath.
They have interaction with humans spiritually as in dreams and visions and also can take on physical appearances before men like that of Lot who saw two men stand before him, Genesis 19:1. These angels will take on the form of locust, but given instruction by God not to hurt the green grass or the trees.
The demonic angels that appear to look like a swarm of locust coming up out of the ground in the numerous numbering of them is likened unto horses prepared for battle, Judges 7:12. The description given in vs. 7-10 is also likened unto ancient battle horses that were decked out with a full plate of armor that helped protect them like their riders from swords, axes, maces, and lances during battle.
The armor, similar to their rider, had a full head piece including a plume of horse hair coming out of the crown of the helmet. The horses face pieces would also be fashioned like that of a man’s except it would be extended to cover their mouth giving them an appearance as having sharp teeth in the design.
The coming approach of these angels would sound like that of chariots and horses running into battle. It’s like when a storm develops you hear the thunder in the distant and when the storm gets closer the louder the thunder becomes. Being they are transformed into locust the sounds of their wings will be similar as a thundering noise.
The tails and the sting of their tail are compared to a scorpion as the torment they will inflict on men will feel like that of a scorpion’s sting. A regular locust has no stingers in its tail nor can they bite or break the skin of a person, but a locust on a larger scale can bite, but not able to penetrate the skin deep enough to draw blood. Scripture says they have stings in their tail so it would be apparent that these are not normal locust. There would be much torment on a person by the number of locust that land on them.
Apollyon is king over the bottomless pit that was given the key meaning Gods authority and power was given him to open the pit and gives these angels that are transformed into locust their authority to go forth and torment men for five months. Apollyon means destroyer in Greek and destruction in Hebrew as he is known as Abaddon in Hebrew. He is an angel of God that He uses throughout the OT and here in vs. 1, 11 to bring about Gods commands when it comes to the destruction of people of disobedience, Exodus 12:23; 2Kings 6:14-18; Proverbs 15:11, 12; Jeremiah 4:7; Daniel 10:13; 1 Corinthians 10:10.
The torment of this chastisement was so great that men would seek death, but not find it and desire to die and death will flee from them as God holds His hands against it.

Jesus now speaks to the angel with the sixth trumpet and commands him to let loose the four angels that are bound in the Euphrates River that have been prepared by God for the hour, day, month and year of His angry indignation against those who follow after other gods. The four angels are Gods warring angels who will war against the enemies of God killing a third of mankind that refuse to repent.
John knows the number of the horsemen as he heard the number to be two hundred million. The four angels will take each to them five hundred thousand horsemen or Gods warring angels and since there are four angels that lead this army I would think they would go out to the four corners of the earth as they kill a third of the earths population.
Each horseman has a breastplate of fire, jacinth and brimstone. The breastplate represents the heart of these two hundred million warring angels that are being lead by the four angels as they are all subject to Gods will and purpose. I agree it is after the 1000 year reign (I believe the 1000 is just symbolic of God's timing, not man's literal numbering of days) as after final judgement is made when the books are opened and all are judged then old things are passed away and all things made new again. Then will God usher the New Jerusalem down from heaven.

Yes he does and you would also think he would know his ending, but even Satan can't know the day or hour of Christ return so he will continue to cause havoc persecuting those of faith that are Christ's own that God has given Him.
