I came across something today that reminded me about love and marriage. I am reminded also about just how fragile this subject of marriage seems to be in our modern world today; how we made the simplest thing so darn complicated that we have perhaps forgotten the truth.

We have all these marriage counselings and seminars, books and advice; people looking for that perfect person, or better yet, complaining about the dumbest things; "He leaves his shoes in the floor!", or "She does not respect me!"

Marriage is very simple. It's just loving another person for life, until death do you part. It's not really about being loved by that other person as much as it is loving that other person. The truth is, we are to LOVE our spouses. That's really all you have to do, and when we are connected to God we can do that, regardless of that other person, but when they feel our love what they are rally experiencing is Gods love.

Here is a picture of Love and how simple it really is.

This is a great story. I can testify to what you've said about love, and about how Fred feels about his wife, and friend, and lover of 75 years. This year is 39 years for me and my wife. The love gets stronger.

Thanks for the post

My parents have been married for 44 years, sister and brother in law 23 years, and brother and sister in law 19 years. Keeping God in front and center is very important!
