I'm actually really excited about this one since this is my favorite Disney movie. All I know is that it looks better than the live action film that is currently being worked on. I mean, I'm not a racist or anything, so if you're black and reading this please don't get offended,.. as normally color doesn't matter, but Ariel is supposed to be a young white girl with bright red hair. Just like what happened when they made what they call a remake of the 1982 and 1999 film versions of Annie. (Not only because the casted a little black girl as the lead) I say if it isn't broke to begin with then they shouldn't try to fix it. (I suppose that everything is about equality today though. ) Oh yeah and Shaggy casted as Sebastian in the television version is different because he's appearing as a human here when he just looks like a crab in the cartoon. Also Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella choice for the lead is different as well because Cinderella never had any specific traits.
Btw, Prince Eric looks dreamy!!

Halle Bailey breaks her silence on 'Little Mermaid' casting backlash: 'I don't pay attention to the negativity'
Halle Bailey is staying positive after facing some racist comments over her casting as Ariel in Disney's upcoming remake of "The Little Mermaid."
