The Ramble On thread

Since there is much conversation going on in the Newbies thread, I thought we could use this one to just, chat about anything. Why not, we're great at going off topic anyway.

I will post this link in the "Hello everyone" thread.

This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]14870[/split] by Vic C. Titled The Ramble On thread

Hi Vic. Glad to hear from you again. I asked Stovebolts about you and assured me you were happy and healthy. That's Sir Isaac Newton BTW in my avatar. One young lady (not mentioning names) thought he looked hot. :toofunny Well, it is a better portrait than those old men ones. :lol

Hi Vic. Glad to hear from you again.

Ahhhh? Tim? Just FYI: The thread-splitter copies the first post from the original thread when it does its function. So it only appears as if Vic recently posted. Here's the link to the first post in the old thread.. Thread-Splitter named "christian" is suspected as a Spammer by me. I notice that he/she does not capitalize the "C" and also that there is some strange re-dating of old posts so as to cornfuse innocent Members like you, tim-from-pa.

Yes, I see what you mean. I knew it was a splitter, but I looked at Vic's date and it was just recently. But now looking more closely I see the splitter has the same posting time as Vic. Before I just saw "Vic's" May 7th "posting" date and thought he was back. Maybe you should have a little talk with the splitter not to repost and lie about the date. :lol I really miss Vic, though.

Re: The Ramble On thread

Well this is the "Ramble On Thread," right? And now I've heard about a relative of this here 'thread splitter' too. That one was a "hair splitter" and I'm not to happy with him either. We can certainly tell they are related. Probably by blood. Spilled blood. And not the good kind either.

Was just looking up videos of a cockatoo dancing to music. So cute. xD
He even did some head banging at the end.

Judging by the name of the thread, I assume this is a place to put completely random thoughts about just about anything. I was watching The Lord of the Rings on DVD the other day. In the first movie, The Fellowship of the Ring, Gandalf falls into a pit while fighting a demon. The second movie, The Two Towers, starts with a flash-back to this event, and we see the entire fall. It seemed like it was never going to end, so I rewound and timed it. The entire fall, from the time Gandalf let go of the bridge until he hit the water below, was 69 seconds. After the movie was over, I did some math. Gandalf fell 14.5 miles (23.6 km).

Darn cat knocked my water over while trying to steal my lunch. -_- I should start putting him up while I eat.

Okay, this is going to sound silly, but in going through some of my stuff the other day I found one of my old dog brushes...with dog hair still in it.

And turned out the hair was from my now dead-and-gone German Shepherd. My childhood pet. Knew her since I was 8 years old and went through most of my teens being responsible for taking care of her, training and all.

When I had to have her put down a couple of years ago I never thought I'd be able to feel her fur again.
So I was having this moment with touching the fur in the dog brush...

...I guess I'm weird. But then some people do keep clippings of their pet's fur after it dies.

Do you keep any of your own hair when you get it cut?
