I have a somewhat valid excuse for staying up late tonight...for once. Going to be somewhere really early in the morning...and I do mean really early.
 
What are your thoughts: Have you heard the news that Olive Garden and Red Lobster are merging into one? Many say that this is great others I'm hearing are saying it will never be the same (either place). What's your thoughts about this merge? I'm in between on this, if I want Red Lobster (I'll go to Red Lobster) and if I want Olive Garden (I'll go to Olive Garden) but, going to an Italian restaurant and ordering sea food - and vise-verse; going to a seafood restaurant and ordering Italian just seems - obtuse

I believe they will continue to disguise themselves as two separate entities. This helps in convincing consumers that they actually have a choice when choosing their chemically enhanced, genetically modified, life dehancing, nutrient lacking "food."

Would you post a link, an article, or something I can read, if you have it?

What I have seen is its owned by the same people and they are going to make some changes, menu's etc. But that would not necessarily mean they are going to merge and be one and the same restaurant. :confused
 
I just noticed your sig. I thought we had someone new here. I'm the newbie not you LOL.

I can understand them doing this if they were hurting for business. But they aren't so why do it? They are both very busy all the time at lunchtime and in the even they both have a list of people waiting, sometimes all the way outside the door!
