Cause I don't think that it's a really good idea to let all of my feelings get stuck into a knot inside me,.. and since I don't think it's good for anybody to do and I couldn't find an annoyed part of the forum, I decided to create one but do it in a way that is healthy and it falls underneath the forum TOS. :)

So anyways, there was this really cute beagle that I saw in my neighborhood today, but as soon as it saw me it came running towards me. No leash, no electric fence, (although I'm not really a huge fan of these) nothing. It could have gotten hit by a car but luckily the truck that was coming up on me saw us both. Seriously though, I do wish that people would think about these things ahead of time. :rolleyes You're supposed to keep an eye your kids and your pets for their own safety. :nonono

Dogs at large are a huge pet peeve of mine! It's mostly not for their safety I'm worried about, but my own. That sounds selfish, but I don't need someone's huge dog charging towards me while I'm walking my children around my own neighborhood or in the park. I worry for their safety. I've been bitten by enough dogs, so seeing a dog I don't know running around without a leash scares me.

Right now what has me panicked is all these spiders I've finding. I've found two spiders that look like Arizona Browns roaming around that were huge...both didn't survive, of course. I'm so freaked out of them biting my kids or my husband. I'm also afraid of getting bitten again. I figure the monsoon season is making them move and then they get inside and are hunting for food. Since I've seen two, I'm so freaked out that there are even more....paranoid as can be right now. Trying to figure out what all I can do to deter them...

I can understand that, but I expect most people to be responsible dog owners and not have a dog loose and running around unless it's well behaved. Of course, then again, there are those kinds of idiots out there as well unfortunately. :sad

Why won't my dog eat his dog food if it's been sitting out for over a day but he'll eat the rotting remains of a dead animal he found in the yard with glee?

I'm sorry, but I just have to vent.
And my cat? Don't get me started.

A dogs natural diet is small, wild game. Pet food was made by companies that wanted to make money by selling convenience. It's not a surprise that many dogs actually have a problem with a food that's loaded with things they should never be eating like food dyes, certain meat byproducts, excessive fillers, and preservatives. There could be something upsetting your dog's gut, too.

I had a cat that stopped eating her food completely...a food that we had purchased for many years and she never had an issue. She started losing weight and wasn't eating. We, of course, thought about mouth sores and such, but the vet wasn't seeing that and said to switch the food. We switched to another dry food and she wouldn't eat. She would only eat moist food. We started buying chicken to boil for the cats along with some store bought cat canned food. She started picking up weight and doing a lot better.

What's wrong with your cat? lol.

vvvvveeeeeeent
had to deal with a really difficult person on this forum recently.
Fortunately God was on my side so it was a piece of cake in the end.
God Bless my soul.

As a vent here...I'm pretty freaked out about this guy in my neighborhood. I actually used to go to school with him (he was in a few classes I had) and he ended up in prison for stabbing another kid with a knife at school...I remember that morning. Thankfully the kid survived and he hadn't paid attention in human anatomy. It freaks me out a little that he roams around, but you know...can't be helped when he's free as a bird and living in your neighborhood.

He confronted me while I was in my yard one day a few months back. It freaked me out since I worry about my kids playing in the yard and his past (even though we have a tall fence with a locked gate). I'm also sure he was high as a kite, too. He came up and asked my age and asked if we used to go to school together. I said I didn't know...which is a lie....bad bad bad...but I'm afraid of making any associations with him because he's not good company. I don't want him to see me as a buddy or anything like that. He saw me driving our car the other day as he was walking beside the street and he stopped and just stared directly at me. One day he kept walking by our yard from a distance and would stare and walk really slow. After he made a few rounds, I came inside with the kids because it spooked me and I didn't know why he was doing that.

I don't know what on earth he wants...and it freaks me out. I'm praying he doesn't pop up again anytime soon =(

i never went to prison, never went to the state hospital, now have a clean background check...

but some things are inescapable, like having been a brain damaged wretch in years past and being dependent upon my family, now...

and they were targeted, too, not just because of me (cloak and dagger kinda work place...upwardly mobile...). ugh. stigma, 'the way the world works,' being expected to know 'his place in society,' etc. etc. etc. meanwhile...

the 4th is coming up. looking forward to family time, good times. not looking forward to drunk neighbors yelling at me and people in the parents' neighborhood shooting off fireworks till...i dunno, they get tired of it or run out?...and scaring all the dogs, etc.

and...finished. :)

I am struggling with my hatred of loud music. I have always enjoyed peace and quiet. I can even tolerate natural sounds like children playing. However when my neighbors play their music too loud I get a headache. Even the police tell me to chill out. My church has a band which hurts my ears. I ask people to lower the volume of their music and they tell me they like it loud. My own son told me to get used to it. So now I not have my headaches I feel isolated. I cannot afford to move. The serenity prayer is not working. This is my venting for today. Thank you HR for offering this opportunity to vent. By the way, I owe you an apology.

Thanks for the advice and forgiveness. I sent an apology to John weeks ago. I went to the store and bought the kind of noise blockers that construction crews wear and I can still hear the music. I am looking forward to going deaf when I get older. I make it worse by projecting selfishness on to the music lovers so I can work on that part with acceptance and forgiveness. Take care.

Thanks but forget what I said. Looks like John might be leaving. :sad
