You could apply this to daily prayer time.
Prayer doesn't have to be a chore.
It can be a refuge. Spending time with a loved one. Where you forget all the problems that preoccupy you.
I was going to compare it to meditation but some of you don't like that word. It conjures thoughts of strange eastern religions which are far from the truth.
But not even meditation. Just spending time. Why tell God your problems? He knows them already. Just being there with Him. Being reassured. Good for those of us affected by anxieties.
I was going to say prayer could be a kind of escapism. Escaping worldly worries. That sounds appealing to me.
