So as a lot of you on here already remember, last year I wrote a beautiful message for my mother on Mother's Day and so today I'm going to do exactly the same thing. :)

Yesterday I was watching a video that nearly made me cry. :crying It was all about a woman and her teenage daughter and this woman had no love for her daughter whatsoever! :mad She even admitted that she didn't. She told her daughter that she hated her and that if she killed herself she would get a beer and watch! :angry3I honestly don't believe that woman deserved to have the title of mother because how can anybody say something like that to any child let alone their own? :sad It absolutely made me sick! :angry Thank the Lord above that she did the best thing that she ever did for her daughter and give her up for adoption to her teacher who could actually love her and care for her properly. :yes

You know, it's stories like these that remind me how lucky I am to have been adopted by a wonderful loving family. Of course the only difference is that my biological mother gave me up out of love not hate and I really appreciate that and I sometimes think about her and I really hope that she sometimes thinks about me. :) I recently read a quote online that your family isn't always what you were born into, it's just what you would die for and I definitely do believe that this applies to me. :yes

Although sometimes I accidentally wind up taking her for granted, my mother is just like my best friend. We have a lot of fun spending time together and one of our favorite things to do right now is geocache. :wink(If you don't know what that is I posted a topic about it a little while ago so you can go ahead and search for it.) Yesterday before I watched the video I was also watching another video and commenting on the fact that even though I have a cat and I'm more of a cat person and I love my cat very much, I really wish that I had a dog as well, and miss it, and thinking about all the other things that I want but can't have (like going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, how I miss going to Disney World, and how I really wish I was out on my own, leasing/owning my own horse etc.) and after watching the video I started realizing how lucky that I actually am. :)

Although there's nothing in the world that's going to stop me from dreaming about these things, I am also learning to appreciate the things that I do have which although I've always sort of known that, it's also a never ending learning process. So with that said, make sure that if you still have her with you, give Mom a great big hug today :hug and tell her thank you and just how much you love and appreciate her. I know that I will. :)Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there and God bless you all! :biggrin2

Btw, I know that I posted a lot of these songs last year but I'm not sure whether or not I posted the first one. First of all my mom wasn't the only one who taught me about Jesus, my grandparents also were,.. and I can't sing a note lol! :lolStill, I remember that when I was a little girl my mother would do everything for me and that included listening to my concerts and accepting a bunch of dandelions that I picked for her so that's why I do believe that this song is still appropriate for her. :) Oh yeah and one more thing, we both believe that the love that you have for one person doesn't mean it takes away the love that you have for somebody else which is why I love all three of my mothers. (Birth, adoptive, and future mother in-law)

Yep! We've got about ten right now. :wink It's a great hobby and it helps you stay active even though you're using technology. :)
