Hello friends,

I just noticed this small similarity and I wanted to share it and see if you see anything in it?

When Eve was created,

Genesis 2:18 NAS
Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone ; I will make him a helper suitable for him."

Notice how the spirit is also called the helper.

John 14:26 NASNew American Standard
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.

Now what I'm really thinking about is these next scriptures.

Genesis 3:17 NAS

Then to Adam He said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat from it'; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life.

Revelation 2:7 NAS

'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.'

I never noticed this connection before.

Yes I agree it is interesting and I do believe there is a lesson in it. Notice also this other vs about Eve.

Genesis 2:23 NAS
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh ; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man."

Thus it would seem the bible is pointing out two different voices Adam was torn between listening too, one was the voice of his 'flesh' tempting him to take from the forbidden tree contrasted with the voice of the Spirit generously offering him fruit from the tree of life.
