Jerusalem will be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled ...
(Luke 21:24)

Can we ponder the little word, "until" for a while ... It is an interesting word isnt it? Ive often wondered if Preterists have it in their dictionary.

"until" hmmmm

Can someone tell us if this "until" has already happened ...?

Can someone tell us what happens ... after this "until" is fulfilled ...?

Luke 21:24 . . . until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Last I heard Gentiles are still in power continuing from the time of Nebuchadnezzar. Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. When is that? Will it have to do with
Act 15:14, Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

The way I see it is the Jews, who failed to recognize Jesus as their Messiah, would not be able to see the path God had chosen for them until Jesus' Church was firmly established in the Gentile world. Afterward they would begin to accept the righteousness of Jesus' teaching even thought they would continually, as a matter of faith, refuse to credit this teaching to Him.

It can't have already happened because Jesus returns immediately after Jerusalem is overrun by the Gentiles again during the tribulation I think. Jerusalem isn't under siege atm although it mightn't be too far away.

Luk 21:24-27 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (25) And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (26) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (27) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

Here is a more detailed description from Daniel, of what Paul wrote to the Corinthians -

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 1 Corinthians 15:22-25

Here is a description from Daniel of what an end to all rule and authority looks like -

34 You watched while a stone was cut out without hands, which struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away so that no trace of them was found. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth. Daniel 2:34-35
The gold and the silver and the bronze and the iron and clay, represent the gentile kingdoms.

No trace of them is the final condition at His Coming!

No trace of them was found, has not happened yet.

you forget that in that context. Jerusalem isn't saved. its laid desolate. see matthew 24. besides jews aren't even saying they need the temple. they are teaching that the body is the temple and the torah is inside making the temple a place of sacrifice.

Pagan Rome, Pagan Greece, Pagan Persia, and Pagan Babylon are all gone, because no place was found for them in the kingdom of Christ. The same can be said of Temple Judaism, which was symbolized in the dream as clay, and lost all rule, authority, and power when Jerusalem was overrun by the Romans in judgment. The Rock of Christ is still growing, and will keep growing until it fills the entire world.

Sorry, the kingdoms of this world are active today in all the wars and rumors of wars.

We Jesus Christ comes, He Himself will put an end to all rule and authority.

Your "interpretation" of reality is what has come to be expected of those that believe and teach Preterism.

Russia has invaded its neighbor, just this week. There is much turmoil and evil and greed and corruption and violence and crime and abortions and homosexuality and perversion, growing and abounding more and more.

The prophecy from Daniel states that there will be No trace will be found.

Paul says of His Coming - He will put down all rule and authority.
