Yes I know, I ask a lot of dinosaur questions lol but what can I say? I'm a HUGE fan of them. No pun intended. I also really like dragons. The very interesting thing is that dinosaurs are never specifically called by name in the Bible. Actually, I do recall them being referenced as dragons instead rather frequently in the OT. So, I was just wanting to ask this one question before bed. Could a dragon have really been some sort of species of dinosaur? If that's what the word dragon actually meant in context that is. Would it have been possible for a dinosaur to breathe fire? Pterodactyls could fly, so does that mean that other dinosaurs could as well?

The Victorian scientist who coined the word "dinosaur" has been honoured with a plaque at the school he attended as a child. But who was Sir Richard Owen?
A huge fan would know this right?

I'm not sure whether or not dinosaurs were really dragons but here is just a few random videos I threw together about them because I got bored.

Owen was one of the foremost anatomists of his day, a very important scientist. He was controversial, having been accused several times of appropriating others work, and presenting it as his own. He was disciplined once for that offense.
Although he recognized the fact of evolution, he could not accept that it happened by such a simple process as variation and natural selection.

Evolution, fact or fiction.
Dinosaurs, fact or fiction.
Dragons, fact or fiction.
Let's add the Phoenix since it's in the Bible. Fact or fiction.

Dragons, Phoenix, in the Bible. FACT
Evolution, dinosaurs, now that's open for debate.
Any takers?

Dragons might be dinosaurs, they do have little nostrils. They say all the dino's had little nostrils because the atmosphere was richer in O2 before the flood. So they didn't need big nostrils.

The only dinosaurs I have seen are plastic toys. Wonder what they evolved from???

Scripture seems to talk about Dinosaurs in a couple places. In Job 40 it says,
17 He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.../

Some say this is a Hippo, but it can't be a hippo because Hippos have little tails. I think this sounds more like a Brontosaurus.
