We have been given life and life more abundantly. What does it mean to have life more abundantly? I feel I have it but I’m not sure. Thanks

That we can live life as it is meant to be lived in the service of God.
That we can live without the fear that we will be going to Hell.
That we can enjoy life without worrying that we have to do something to please God.

An abundant life here on earth is the fullness of Christ within us and all of God's blessings that we can live a happy peaceful life free from the principalities of this world as we are no longer of this world.

To be 'touched' by Truth.

Whenever we surrender our self to be consciously honest, Truth 'touches' our soul with conviction, love, and a faith that is doubtless and fearless. This is true living. It can't get any better than that.

Abundant means more than enough. If we are reconciled to God through Christ, then we are part of something much greater than ourselves and our self-centered existence. Then God works His purpose in us, and we experience the greatness of what God does in us and through us. So then, God is more than enough, and the gospel is more than enough. We have God's peace that is greater than the world gives, and we have satisfaction of God's power working in our lives and answering our prayers. When crisis comes, we have the confidence of going through it knowing God is with us. God's love working through us is more than enough for expressing to others. Like the apostles wrote that we have "every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ," and God has provided "all things pertaining to life and godliness." God is ready and willing to give us "abundantly beyond all that we can ask or think." All we have to do is trust Him to give it in His good time, as we abide in Christ (keep applying His words to ourselves).

People, including myself, have talked about how horrible it feels to have a broken heart.

BUT

There's something worse...a heart that feels nothing.

No compassion, no empathy, no love, no sorrow, no joy.
So much "coolness" that a person doesn't know how to react to life any longer. Wayyy past the point of emotional fatigue and exhaustion. Never really feeling anything anymore. So wrapped up in themselves and their own little life...they really don't have one anymore. Always trying to be happy but missing out on true joy.

And a life that includes a relationship with Christ can see the huge difference in themselves of a "before" and "after".

People take all kinds of chemicals for recreation. They engage in all kinds of sins to try and have joy. They are quick to lie to appear to have compassion and caring but really have no idea what they are truly missing out on. They are perpetually a victim and a perpetrator at the same time...they can't stop it. A type of "hell on Earth"...the walking dead...so full of apathy they don't even truly care about themselves. (Although you would think they do by their self worship)

We know the opposite of what this looks like. People who are always the "soft touch" when it comes to money... always generous...always worried about someone else...cries over the little things even if they don't wear their emotions on their sleeves. They tend to make big deals out of their favorite Holidays... going "overboard" with celebration... because they are truly celebrating... having a full life with ALL the ups and downs of having a big heart.

It means that we can enjoy life without the weigh of evil in our personal life and pressure of sin. To those the Son sets free they are free indeed. It means we can be more than an over comer, etc.
