I decided to post this question in here because besides personal opinions, maybe I will get some biblical responses to this. As somebody who likes to stay busy here on earth whether I'm at home, or going on vacation, or having fun with my friends, this thought suddenly came to me when I was taking a shower. Besides seeing Jesus face to face and talking to all of our loved ones,.. what exactly are we going to do in Heaven.

Surely we're not just going to float around, eat without having to relieve ourselves, and stare at each other for all of eternity. I personally pictured Heaven to be a very beautiful place with a lot of beautiful flowers and gardens, along with a water fountain flowing of milk and honey, and sort of like Disney World but only better because your pets are allowed and you never have to be separated from anybody ever again. I call it sort of like Disney World because of the crowds of people but endless space to walk around on the streets of gold.

Also since Jesus is everywhere you probably don't have to wait in line to see Him because He will come to see you since He's all over the place. I imagine we will never have to clean our mansions and what if the television had channels that were memories of your life? Or it came with a pool table where you would never lose? It's very interesting to think about don't you think? Does anybody else have anymore thoughts on this? While I'm waiting I will try to think up some more thoughts of my own. :)

We won't be in heaven, but will be living within the city of New Jerusalem that will be ushered down from heaven after this the first heaven and earth are passed away and all things made new again. Rev 21:1, 2

Here is what it will be like in the New Jerusalem:

Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. 22 They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them. 24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Ever laugh so hard that you begin to cry?

Tears of sorrow become tears of joy...
That's what that means.

I'm hoping for a better singing voice myself...I am so unmusical it's pathetic. I like music...I just can't make any. But I can build AV systems and lighting systems in the blink of an eye.

Maybe I'll get to cook something for the Wedding Supper that never ends...

Plant some flowers and fruit trees...make some jams and jellies.
Who knows what I'll get into.

God gave us life so we could live...
God granted us Salvation so we could live more fully than ever before...
I'm seeing a theme here if you don't...

So...I'm going to do everything...and have the time to do it all.

Please share those parables.

LUKE 19: Faithful service on earth means extensive/intensive service in the eternal Kingdom of God
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Matthew 25: Faithful service on earth means extensive/intensive service in the eternal Kingdom of God
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, andthen at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We are to take these promises literally: have thou authority over ten cities and I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

While the first parable mentions "cities" the second parable mentions "many things". Taken together it would be that those who have served faithfully and responsibly in this life will be made rulers (or kings) over either many cities, or many provinces, states, or even nations and planets. We dare not presume that God's plans for His kings and priests are limited to only cities. But there is no question that the Bible says that His saints will live and reign with Him. Which means serious intensive and extensive work in eternity (contrary to what many have presumed).

As much as I appreciate you sharing these I completely forgot that it doesn't do me much good if I can't understand them. :confused

Well what's so hard to understand? If you serve the Lord faithfully and diligently in this life, He will give you major responsibilities for service in the eternal Kingdom of God.

I have learning disabilities remember and parables are hard for me to understand, and I seem to remember that even the disciples had trouble understanding them.

Depends
If you die now, I guess you will be on one side of the gulf or the other.
Waiting for Jesus to take His reign on earth, during the 1000 year reign and then you will come with Him.
1Thess.4:13,14
Those that sleep, rest, in Jesus will God bring with Him.

Then if you are alive and remain, in a twinkling of an eye, we turn into our spiritual body, then we are to reign with Christ a 1000 years. This happens on the Lord's day, The day of the Lord, the millennium.
Those that rest in Christ are joined with us.
We will become priest of Christ.
Rev.20:6, Rev.11:18
Give reward to the prophets and the saints...

Then, the devil loosed, then God Himself, the Godhead, will come down, The Great White Throne Judgment, where death and hell is cast into the lake of fire.
Rev.20:11, Rev.20:14, Rev.21:3

Then God will wipe away our tears, there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, no more pain, for the former things are passed away. Rev.21:4
There will not be a Temple there, for The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.
And the city had no need of the sun or moon, because the Glory of God will lighten it, and The Lamb is the light thereof.
The nations, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory and honor..
The gates will not be shut..Rev.21:22-26

There shall be no more curse, and His servants shall serve Him. Rev.22:3

So what we will be doing?
Praising His Glorious Name and serving Him with love and honor and Glory.
Amen!
