What does everyone do for a living? Full or part time jobs or volunteer positions.

I myself run a web design company.

work

i've spent the last 8 years working in psych' wards as an R.N. I've been on stress leave the last 6 weeks and don't think i'll go back to work. I,m looking at reconciling with my wife around Nov' and moving to the country. We've worked out we can afford to live so long as we are TOGETHER>funny how God works.

I am a licensed electrician and worked with the tools for a bout 10 years. After that, I took classes to become Network+ Certified and worked with Computer networks, Telecommunications, and PLC's (programmable logic controls). I now am a control room operator for the this nation's Electrical Power Grid (not California) :) From line voltage, to low voltage, to super high voltage.

Right now, I'm a non-certified nurse's assistant. LOL, But after this week, I'll be working in a daycare. I was going for my CNA's license, but I failed miserably on my clinical skills exam ( While trying to perform perineal care on a manikin, I accidently placed the dummy too high on the bed and almost ripped it's head off while trying to lower the bed. It's neck was caught on the headboard! ... oops)...Oh well. I'm better at caring for children then manikins LOL

I am a computer network tech/admin. I am accountable for about 35 workstations and 5-6 servers. All Windows-based.

Wow. There seems to be so many job oppurtunities on the web! It seems very interesting. Vic and Logan, how did you go about in the business? Did you go to school?

No, I never went to school. I learn quick and have an aptitude for these sort of things. And of course, like they say, It's who you know. God blessed me with a friend in the business who got me the job. So I got payed to learn!

Actually I am still in school. Have one more year left, however my major is marketing. I worked as a webdesigner for gifttree.com for a few years before going to school.

Wow!!! The majority of y'all are really high tech!!!! I babysit for a living. Sounds kind of dull after reading what y'all do but I love being able to stay home with my kids. I'll probably go back out to a public job when my youngest starts school but I still have 2 years for that. I would like to get into nursing then adn find something working with the elderly.

Currently I'm a stay-at-home Dad, homeschooling four kids. I do web design and programming as a hobby/ministry when I can fit it in.

Kimber, I applaud you! I'm not really high-tech. I actually am very bad at computers, but I'm learning :)I'd better learn soon, because if I'm gonna do my one-man(or girl, rather) show professionally, I'll need a website!(gulp)...scarey... So Vic, you never went to school for this? You're what we call in showbiz raw talent  And Logan, after check out the rest of 123 Christian, I have to say the same for you, too! Bravo, encore! LOL

I work as the 3D Animator for Lee University, a Church of God liberal arts university (although I am not affiliated with the COG otherwise). I also do freelance work, under the company name of Virtual Prism. My website was being built by a friend, but he bailed on me. You can visit my site at:

http://www.virtualprism.com

Oh, how I would love to find someone interested in doing the site in exchange for some 3D work!

BL

:o How the heck did I do that? Heehee! I told ya I'm back with computers; I didn't even mean to do that!!ROFLOL

Another "techie" posts his 2 cents - I'm a software consultant. I go in, toss ideas around, do some thinking and some planning, build a system, then move on.

At least that was what the marketing brochure said

BL, went to your site, and it says you are still redesigning. Still need help pulling some stuff together? It has been a while since I did some site design, but it could be fun to relearn and help out another. Let me know...

Me, I'm another low techie. I'm a security officer at a large University Hospital. I makes for some "interesting" nights. (I work the midnight shift.)

Wow, Jack...wow.

I design houses for a living...I work for an enigneering firm and abslutely love it!

And I am a mom of two...which doesn't pay cash....but the benefits are waaay better than my 9 to 5 job! :biggrin

I am an advertising editor/manager/copywriter creative genius at an ad agency.

I also am the webmaster for First Baptist Church of Lakeside and help out with designing T-shirts, logos, ads and editing/writing promotional copy for our upcoming events.

My job literally is a dream come true--I love it. It's a stressful job with some long hours but I've got 10 great employees that I'd give my left arm for, and likewise (I hope) :) No backbiting, no gossip, just folks that work hard and are good at what they do. My boss is great too.

Millions see my work from the agency. Thousand see my work for the church. But the church stuff is MUCH more rewarding. I look at is as sort of a ministry and a gift to God. I'm shy and a HORRIBLE public speaker, but if I can sit behind a PC and be creative and nerdy, all the better! :)

Lemme guess, you're right-handed ;) (sorry, couldn't help myself). It is great when you find the dream job, and the environment is ideal (the no backbiting/stabbing, gossiping, and the like).
