Jesus is the ONLY begotten of the Father--we are ADOPTED!

1 Peter 1:3 – …..has begotten us…..

James 1:18 - Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

"We know that those who are born of God do not sin, but he that is begotten of God keeps himself....We know that we are God's children(of God, kjv),.....(1 Jn. 5:18-19).

"...that he (Jesus) might be the FIRST-born among many brethern" (Romans 8:29). Or as the New Revised Standard Version says, "...that he (Jesus) might be the FIRST-born within a large FAMILY."

alone

I've thought before, and it's unimaginable to me almost completely. I've thought, and I think God may have been lonely and sad, before He ever created anything. Since humans are created with the image and likenesses of God, then I do beleive God was in a sad state. Humans are sad when they are alone. I don't know....

If God was all alone how could he know he needed playmates if he never had playmates before? How could he know what lonliness was unless he experienced it before? The only way he could experience lonliness is if he had first hand experience with it.

That would've been His first experiance. He had no one with Him, and that was being alone. If no one is with you, you are alone. Or perhaps, He decided to define His state as "alone". You are falling into the impossible, asking questions you know I don't have the answers to.

Is God perfect, Darck Marck?

It depends on how you define perfect. Stop a thousand differnet people on the street, and you'll get many, many answers to what "perfect" is.

An atheist can nitpick "perfection" to death, and never comeup with anything relevant to God.

Perfection: Having no flaws. A perfect being can have no wants, needs, worries, hopes, problems, plans or choices.

how does that make "perfection"? Your description of "perfection" sounds cold, evil, uncaring, unloving, and a creation of your own tiny imagination.

Like I said, atheists can nitpick perfection to death, and never come close to anything relevant to God.

the bible does not say we are begotten children of God you sir are in danger of producing this heretical teaching,

1 Peter 1:3 – …..has begotten us…..

James 1:18 - Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

C. S. Lewis writes in his book, Mere Christianity, book four - chapter one, "What God begets is God; just as what man begets is man".

God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen. 1:27.

All heaven took a deep and joyful interest in the creation of the world and of man. Human beings were a new and distinct order. They were made "in the image of God," and it was the Creator's design that they should populate the earth. They were to live in close communion with heaven, receiving power from the Source of all power. Upheld by God, they were to live sinless lives.

The holy pair were not only children under the fatherly care of God, but students receiving instruction from the all-wise Creator. They were visited by angels, and were granted communion with their Maker, with no obscuring veil between. . . . The mysteries of the visible universe--"the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge"--afforded them an exhaustless source of instruction and delight. The laws and operations of nature, which have engaged men's study for six thousand years, were opened to their minds by the infinite Framer and Upholder of all. They held converse with leaf and flower and tree, gathering from each the secrets of its life. With every living creature, from the mighty leviathan that playeth among the waters, to the insect mote that floats in the sunbeam, Adam was familiar. He had given to each its name, and he was acquainted with the nature and habits of all. God's glory in the heavens, the innumerable worlds in their orderly revolutions, "the balancings of the clouds," the mysteries of light and sound, of day and night,--all were open to the study of our first parents.

God created man a superior being; he alone is formed in the image of God, and is capable of partaking of the divine nature, of cooperating with his Creator and executing His plans.

Very nice story about Lucifer Jay, except it seems to be very bad theology!! If Heaven is perfection, how could Lucifer rebel and sin against God ? If there is sin in Heaven, what is then the difference between Heaven and Earth ?

Depends on what you are attributing perfection to. Everything that God creates is good. It is obvious that any created being can regress in any environment if it pushes God out of it's life. Lucifer did that by wanting God's throne for himself and rejecting God's rulership.

In answer to the original post:
In God's existence prior to earth creation, the Bible speaks of Him laying His measuring line across the depths. I think that God was always engaged in something; always moving forward; always wisely proceeding in a creative fashion; always producing something good. He's never bored. Who knows how long God had it in His heart to make man before He ever started to do so? He's never in a rush, always perfect in timing and execution. Always positive, always in an upward thoughtlife. An infinitely positive world/positive God is indeed a paradise because it is always transcending, always at peak. God is happier than anyone. He's the source of happiness and joy and peace. He knows how to really live and what He keeps Himself pure from is what is negatively oriented; that's why faith is His substance that we must have down here. It is positive in nature and God likes that.

Man, it's gonna be really cool. Can't wait.

Lucifer forgot that he was a created being...owing his very existence to God, the source of all life !
Just one of the reasons, Satan pushes 'evolution' so much in today's world....on the basis, that he does not want to acknowledge a creator...PERIOD.

If there is sin in Heaven, what is then the difference between Heaven and Earth ?
[/quote:8fcd0]Did you not notice that Satan was expelled 'from' heaven.....because God did not want a contaminated paradise (heaven), as was also the case, of the Garden of Eden ?

That fact should bring to mind....that those who commit sin (on this earth) will not 'be in' heaven.
