Love is perfect; because, love is God; and God is Perfect. Perfection is infinity. Love therefore has no limit. For love, to have no limit, it must be unconditional. Therefore, no condition will affect it. In other words, love will always express itself; even to those who are killing you and care nothing about you. Love, therefore, has no barriers and will never be partial. It will never stop giving; and will sacrifice one’s own life, so that those who are hurting and killing you, may have life. This is precisely what Jesus did on cross-suffer the most painful and humiliating death for those who were insulting and killing Him. He even befriended Judas, and never gave up on him; although He knew that he would be a total failure and betray him. The only thing we need to do to embrace perfect love, is to look at the perfect love on the cross; and like the good thief next to Jesus, see it as it is. This will purify our heart through repentance.

Love is perfect; because, love is God;

Totally wrong, false, untrue etc.

Love on its own is not perfect. The only love that is perfect is the love God has for his creation etc.

Love is not God. God is Love.

God's love is not a warm fuzzy love that children have for puppies anf kittens, the love pop songs sing about.

Gods love desires the best for you and me and he will do what ever it takes to get us into a relationship with him.
That is the best thing for us, so Romand 8:28-38.

'All things work together for the good of those who are called by God. etc.

That 'All things' literally means what ever happens, your loosing your job, health, legs, family anything if it improvess ones relationship with God.

God is NOT a sugar daddy who gives and gives nice things when we ask.

Greetings:

Semantics will hinder the deliberations unless we define the Greek terms as used in the Holy Text 2000 years ago. The first thought coming to my mind when seeing your OP concerned Paul's statements to the Corinthians that contain some of your terms:

"Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away." 1Cor. 13:8-10.

The "perfect" (teleios #5046) is a reference to God's Completed and Perfect Living and Active Word contained in the Holy Scriptures that we possess today. Christ's body members ("His body" church, Col. 1:24-27) obeying our gospel (Word of the Cross, 1Cor. 1:18) and the Prophetic Kingdom "Bride" (John 3:29, see my Two Churches OP) called to God via the "Gospel of the Kingdom" (Matt. 3:2, Matt. 9:35, Matt. 24:14, etc., see my Two Gospels OP) living from 30AD to about 100 AD did not possess the "completed-perfect" Word of God.

Therefore, God leveled the playing field (Christ's body members are in competition for high positions in the body near Christ as the Head) by giving the newly-forming churches the gifts of prophecy, knowledge and tongues (all hearing in their own languages, Acts 2:1-11).

These sign gifts were "done away" once God's Perfect Word was complete using the testimony of the New Testament apostles, disciples, prophets, stewards (Peter and Paul), etc.. Today we use the 66 books of God's Living Word as the source of prophecy, faith (seed), knowledge (shoot), and wisdom (fruit), as the "Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God...". Romans 8:16.

Blessings,

Terral

Hi Terral03 and welcome to CF :wave2

Are you saying that prophecy, knowledge and tongues are no longer needed today?

Technically God doesnt have unconditional love, in some contexts. its like saying God will let everyone into heaven because he loves us and everybody. This is not true, God does love but he is also just too.
