ezrider,

with what you posted in post # 54............"As for_his_glory stated in post #41, do you believe that you have not yet been called?"
you are misrepresenting that of what I said. I was not speaking about God's call to His salvation, but the call to the wedding feast which is two separate things.

Please do not misquote me as this is what I said in post# 41:
We have not yet been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb as that happens when Christ returns and then we are arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints, Rev 19:1-9. Until that time I am being made righteous by God's righteousness through His salvation and will continue to wear the full armour of God, Ephesians 6:10-18.

if its going to get knickers twisted up and give a wedgie over the word calvinism.. which it appears it does the same thing as the word security .. i am done . time for a chill pill

We have been going back and forth for some time now in a number of different threads. What makes you think I am talking about anything other than the wedding feast.

Again, I don't really know anything about Calvinism. I have only read comment and debate about it in this forum, but is not a debate I have ever participated in. It's not something that really interests me.

Here's the thing EZ. I really can talk to you better if I know where you stand.

No, actually you can't. What it would do is give you some footing to debate the doctrines of men and stand in contention, but what it really does is prevent you from listening with an open mind.

take time just read this and you will have a basic idea.. i like to know a little bit about each church doctrine.. if you dont take time to read then you really have no issue with some saying what you believe looks like how calvinist believe. set the record straight for us..

I'm not taking issue with it other than it is off topic.

What record should I set straight? I asked the Lord to teach me as it were a new song. This is where He brought me.

ezrider your topic is about what is Salvation and do we still wait for it. I thought that was what we were to discuss. The wedding garment is important to God's salvation, but we differ on what that garment is and when we are clothed in it.

BTW, thank you for showing me how to tag others.

Based on your posts here, your beliefs are Calvinist.

Are you not interested in why you believe what it is you believe and where those beliefs originated?

Moderator request: Could we please get back to the topic of this thread? Labeling is not necessary and as can be seen in this discussion leads to bickering about the label.

EZ, here's what you asked in post no. 54:

Why should my answer to you have been ALL when the scripture does not say ALL, especially in light of the scripture that I posted in #51.

The Lord is sovereign, does he not reserve the right to choose whom He calls?

What makes you think GOD chooses whom He calls?
Doesn't He call everyone?
Romans 1:19-20

I have always believed the wedding garment is Jesus.
I don't know what else it could be....

Somehow we have to understand how Romans 9:15 (referencing back to Exodus 33:19) fits in too.

Somehow we have to understand how Romans 9:15 (referencing back to Exodus 33:19) fits in too.
Exodus 33:19
God will be gracious to whom He will be gracious...
Does it depend on anything?
Or is He a whimsical God?
He will be gracious to us based on our response to Him.
Isn't this what John 3:16 is all about?

Romans 9:15
It's the same. Plus, Romans 9, 10 and 11 is about the corporate, or national, salvation of Israel....it's not about individual salvation. Once this is understood, it's much easier to understand these chapters in Romans. It's a lot to get into...I'll try to find a link...

There's much more,,,
It also helps to understand about Esau and Jacob...
The potter and the vessel...

I have always believed the wedding garment is Jesus.
I don't know what else it could be....

Revelation 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Parentheses added by myself for explanation.

Matthew 22:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? (clothed in God's righteousness) And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

The chosen are those who come to the marriage supper of the Lamb after Jesus returns, Rev 19, as they are then dressed in fine linen, clean and white. This is also the time we exchange our full armour of God for the wedding garment as we will no longer need the full armour of God to withstand the evil anymore, Ephesians 6:10-18.

Are you not interested in why you believe what it is you believe and where those beliefs originated?

The origins of my beliefs come from the Lord; Not from any doctrines of men, and not from my own understanding of the scripture. My interest is in following where the Lord leads me, not the doctrines of men.
