I may lvoe this thread (lvoe is code for my kind-of-love)

... I'm getting used to coming back here to pick up recommendations for casual listening... Being a Member is nice here. Pardon my back-search ... it's just my way. I like to read threads. Here's one that has been asked and answered:

They seem to idolize satan

Thanks for the wisdom drops there. Refreshing comes to my mind and believer me, it is a weak and weary mind-you, and if you don't mind, why not? it's nvr too late to learn obedience. Right? 1 Thessalonians 5:22 KJV Avoid even the Appearance of Evil
I can remember way back sometimes for instance there was one time when listening to a rendition of a lvoe-ly rendition of a love song, sung by an actual member of a then- local church. She had asked for my feed back and so I stumbled along with my clumsy manner and tried to compliment her (to no avail) b/c it came out all twisted...

the conversation went a little like this ...

Me: I really liked your song. I could almost say that I /lvoe it!
She: (I caught her interest because she was in the business of singing about love): Oh? She: Tell me moar...

((I mis-spell here on purpose, not not to earn a [sic] but to indicate understanding of a catch-phrase meaning 'moar' combined with a ravenous lion-like roar == moar (more roar).)

Then came the clum, chum... then came the clum...
dum... da... dum-dum say: "Speaking critically, though..."
((and I didn't catch the look of ire as her joy faded from her face))
dum... da... dum-dum say: "It made me feel too good..."
((no, I did not say 'toot-good' ? , but I might as well have ))
dum... da... dum-dum say: "For a second there, I felt like I wanted to marry you..."

And there you have it. I had fallen through no fault of my own (or so I told myself at the time) into a trap designed to snare the unwary bird foot. Proverbs 6:5 Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the fowler’s snare.
No way she would listen to my yap, not that I've betrayed my interest as flesh. /YIKES, i didn't mean to say /THAT much. No wonder she left so abruptly, never to speak to me again.

That's okay. I've long since forgotten the artist name. Somewhere along the line I've heard that it takes 20 or so favorable to help heal one ouchie.

Then: Britney Spears ... was BFFs with Christina Aguilera on seasons 6 and 7.

You're funny Sparrowhawk...and extremely intelligent.
Is lvoe like groking something?

And I like hard rock...it doesn't HAVE TO BE satan worship...
How about Jon Bon Jovi? How about Van Halen? Eddie is one of the best guitarists (rock) around.

Avoiding even the appearance of evil saves us from much tribulation. Alice Cooper once said in an interview that he's Christian. Huh? So where's the testimony? This is WORSE than satan worhipping music; at lease with some bands, we know exactly where they stand. HE is taking us for an unpleasant ride...and woe to the ignorant that are not aware of where they're headed.

And, yeah, I remember that nice sergeant that would warn his guys to be careful; you think he meant it for us too? I always used to tell my kids to be careful----does that make me a sergeant?

So, dum da dum dum...
Here's some NICE heavy metal and a little bit of U2...my favorite band, but not for eveyone.

And New York AND music!

Fado is something different
I also like classical music. A live orchestra is truly something to behold

Medical Definition of Phalanges
Phalanges: The bones of the fingers and of the toes. There are generally three phalanges (distal, middle, proximal) for each digit except the thumbs and large toes. The singular of phalanges is phalanx.

And now? Here's Malcolm.

Hi Sparrow,
Don't like to be called SH, huh?
Fussy aren't we?

Heard your song. Nice and mellow.
All music is grand (not really all).
God implanted some kind of rhythm in us...
it was nice of Him, don't you think?

Grok comes from a book called Stranger in a Strange Land.
I wonder if the definition exists anywhere outside of this book.
It's a good word to know if shared with a best friend.

I wonder what you mean about the birthdays comment.
Will I ever know??

in re : Post #52 (this thread)

Some things are free (for the asking) sure. Others? Maybe they are also...
...But there could be some waiting involuded (pardon Sparrow's_Slaughturd_Eng©) for me to consider, and further delay in order to allow time to form a response that it at the least due-response and considerate of the question. It's an exchange.

I get compliments? You get answers? No.
An exchange of time and effort. You don't really mind waiting, I'm certain, it's true.

What then?

Time to pray and for me to harness my tongue. It's an evil that I will continue to eschew. (like what I did there? Pun play ---> little joke, "eschew=(es)chew=mouth=word-play=pun". /ha! Harmless enuf... it is past my two guards now. One on my mind, another on my mouth... finger-guard? Yep, gonna click (SEND) then Edit/Proof/POST wait 30 mins for future change and ... Voila. A response. It's acceptable. Well, to me.

Or I could /sigh and sign,

icDelay_but-not-ICYdelay_Sparrow, the 'picky' eater.

wondering It appears to me that you like asking and answering questions, that you are fair-minded, and curious by nature.

May I propose that you consider a trade outside of the limits implied by the thread title and ask a very pointed and direct question, please? Pardon my boldness as I continue to press on toward the just set mark.
Q : What one word concept might you provide if I were to ask you to select one and only one, from any language, any time, any novel, any historic vicarious experience, in short, from your >inner storage< what would that one word be if I asked for the best you got, again as a single word response, to the fuller and shorter inquiry: What is love?

Yeah, we know 'agape,' and yes, that word is sufficiently famous in many, many languages, but it fails the 'concept only' test (to me). Still, since it's my game, my parameters, we gift this response as a considered 'No'.

This 'concept thingy' is not language bound. We pull back a bit in view. Zoom out the PoV... one moment... processing(c)... Concept, unlimited range - conceptual and/or spiritual and/or IRL (in real life and/or even imaginary, factious or fictitious as the case may be.. but wait, I get distracted) ... so, one word-concept answer is requested,
"What means Love?" Or, rephrased into a more colloquial idiom, "Wat does Concept of Love mean if formed into a single word answer//response (in the form of a question)..."

Answer Prompt: "Gee, I don't know, Alex of Jeopardy® Fame, 'What is an six *5* letter long, English response, beginning with the letter 'R x x x x x x'"?

Take a second and up yer volume for this oldie ... and goodie...

Hint herein offered according to your patience level -- press now is okay. Sure.
Later too... both are fine. Thank you kindly for your interest.

From a book?
One word?
Uffa.
But here's the first word I thought of:
UNSELFISH.
Yeah...even if just one is selfish,,,problems will forever exist.

If you'd care to...even YOU could answer your own question.

And here's one for you:

The concept of Love as it is universally translated into all cultures of all areas across all time? RESPECT <-- A first-step toward Agapé (self-sacrificing and more!) is simply :
R · E · S · P · E · C · T
Yep, respect. Find-out what love means (to me) ... sing it out! Far and clear.

Wouldn't you agree? I mean, as far as it goes, that is.

What does the Bible say about agapé love?
Bible verses about agape love. We are to have the same type of love that Jesus Christ had for us, which is agape love. A person with agape love never says what’s in it for me or this person doesn’t deserve it. Agape love is not friend, sexual, or brotherly love, but it’s sacrificial love.

I've recently been instructed in the break-down of this critical concept. Critical not only to our walk as followers of Christ but also simply to the whole world. It starts here and here a single thought about "WHY"??.
ru rdy (are you ready) for another sip/bite from my font of wisdom??

Psalms 133 is only 3 verses long.
It explains where God commanded the blessing. We may look to Him to command that which He has in store for us from a very specific place. See and ruminate on Psalm 133 for more. No hints this time. It's more serious than just baby steps. We're gonna fly.

Psalm 133 New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 133
A song of ascents. Of David.
1 ... live together in unity!
2 ... like precious oil...
3 ... as if the dew ...
3 (cont) ... For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.

More on this later. For me? I was given a new identity based on this reveal and may now be known also as " respect.agapé.DEW@gmail.com © <<--- NOT rdy
/and : shhh... that's a secret.

Still setting stuff up. Filling out the forms, getting subscriptions and signing a bunch of ToS (Terms of Service) agreements and the like. As I said, for later. /bfn

PS - Thanks for the link - Hasidim & "white-bread" == lol nice word play there. -->

Don't you brown-sugah me.

Were you in my English class?

English, my favorite subject.
So, the High School English Teacher asked us:
"What's more important Respect or Love?"

Hmmm. That would make a good thread in The Lounge.

Hey, questdriven What's new in the zoo?

Grok comes from a book called Stranger in a Strange Land
"Stranger in a Strange Land" is an allusion to the phrase in Exodus 2:22.
According to Heinlein, the novel's working title was The Heretic.
