I have another sleep related question. Why do I usually want to sleep whenever I'm angry, upset, or stressed out about something? :confused

Anger or stress puts hormones in your body that prepares it for danger. After awhile, your body needs to rest to recuperate from the extra demand put on your system.

That makes sense but here's something else that I've recently discovered about sleep. If you take deeper soothing breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth you'll fall asleep a lot quicker which comes in handy if you're having trouble with it. :)

I don't, I'm perfectly fine with it. I usually only need a few breaths and besides that, it's the exact same thing that I do in Yoga class. :)

Before I became a follower of Christ (Christian) I used a lot of drugs. My drug choice was meth. It's the devils drug indeed. The longest I stayed up was six days and five nights. After three days you start hallucinating and after 5 days of no sleep the hallucinating is really intensified and you begin hearing stuff thats not there, like hearing people having conversations in another room, but your all alone in the house.. this is the closest example (personal at that) I have. Sleep is our friend, without it, our senses turn on us and we fall apart.

It's good to see you again old friend!

The longest I've ever stayed awake was 7 days when i was working with $cientology. They gave us vitamin B injections daily and fed us probably 10 times a day.

The last day was just all mixed up. It was hard to think to do my job and my body felt heavy and sluggish. I remember this fog and feeling like my eyes were three feet inside my head.

It took about 3 days to recover. Waking up for the first time was the worst. My mind felt scratchy and my body lethargic.

I had an infection once, that for some reason, wouldn't let me sleep for several days. And yes, that produces hallucinations. Even though I knew they were hallucinations, they seemed so real.
