Would there be a Fall?
if he did not eat the forbidden fruit it would still be the garden of eden - heaven on earth

if he did not turn against God and listen to / believe the devil he would not have fallen

a lesson to us that in small and large ways the more we believe/trust/obey God the better our life will be

also a lesson to NOT believe the devil - the devil was not trying to help adam/us - he's out to hurt us because he was the first dummy to turn against God - Isaiah 14:14 - it's real dumb to trust the devil and mistrust God - John 10:10

That's arguing from silence and 'what if' and is erroneous reasoning. There is no way we could know the answer to your question as, in the sovereignty of God, it was never going to happen.

I've thought about this before. Eve was deceived but Adam did it knowingly.

I think if Adam had not ate the fruit, that Eve would have still fell, and been separated from God. Adam prolly considered this, and out of Love for Eve, ate it also...so they would be together at least...?

I've heard it preached that Adam & Eve lived in the garden of Eden for 7 years before they fell...(I dunno if that's accurate or not)

But Eve still fell. Jesus would have came. As I understand it, Jesus wrote a book about (every individual's) life, before the foundation of the world. So mankind was bound to fall.

He and Eve would still be taking care of God's garden.
amen - and we'd all be together in the garden walking with God(Father/Son/Holy Spirit) and each other with love and truth and goodness - no death - no pain - no disease

the ultimate good time party for all eternity - just like heaven

Maybe a different question might be, would Jesus still have come?
I think yes.
imo God is/was/will always be Father/Son/Holy Spirit

Genesis 1:1-5 has Father Word Holy Spirit creating - and God walking in the cool of each day with adam and eve - Genesis 3:8

imo Father/Son/Holy/Spirit were walking each day in the garden with adam and eve - Genesis 3:8

so Jesus may not have needed to come in the flesh - but imo He was always here as God (Father/Son/Holy Spirit) from the beginning as per Genesis 1:1-5 and Genesis 3:8

yes - i can see that as a possibility

the hypothetical of "if adam and eve did not disobey willfully or ignorantly" is how i approached the op's question

now if we want to go deeper into this issue as you are doing - then i would say another question could be "if adam and eve did not sin by disobeying God willfully or ignorantly would one of us have done it?"

then i would have to say YES - probably someone after adam and eve would have sinned in the same 2 kinds of ways they did - willfully or ignorantly - so in that case it was better that adam and eve did it first so that Jesus could come in the flesh to save all who love God and accept Jesus God the Son made flesh

i was purposely keeping to just the idea of what would it be like if there was no sin- fall - curse - and avoiding the fact that God knew before He created adam and eve that they would disobey - sin - fall - bring the curse on everything God created

iow i was approaching this topic as a fun hypothetical rather than a serious in depth theological discussion

i do appreciate the deep theological discussion too - and probably the conclusion to that would be that God knew all this was going to happen and pre-planned for it - slaying Jesus the lamb of God before the foundation of the world - 1 Peter 1:20 - Revelation 13:8

Sorry about that Brother! Sometimes it's hard to not stray from the topic as put forth, lol. And I just start typing. ..even now I'm resisting the urge to add even more that's, about Adam & Eve but unrelated to your topic, Lol...

Not that He made us fall, but knew that we would. Slow learners that we are, lol.
yes - and easily tempted and easily decieved

not sure if this is right or not but the fact that
1. eve was deceived and
2. adam and eve did not know good AND evil
3. they only GOOD and God

makes me wonder what the full message about sin and disobedience is

all i know is God is good and perfect and the devil wants to hurt us all

but God made redemption available to trump anything satan the eternal loser tries to do

so the temporary sin/fall/curse is completely overridden by eternal salvation/redemption/power of God

yes - i know what you mean

we could examine this topic from so many angles

and all of them are fascinating

If there was no fall then there would be no reason for Jesus to come.
Prior to the fall, A&E were in perfect, sinless, submission to God.
If there is no sin then there is no death.
If there is no death then there is no need for salvation from death.
I suppose it all depends on which view of atonement one ascribes to.
1. Christus Victor, the Eastern Orthodox
2. Penal Atonement, Protestant
3. Substitution Atonement, Protestant
