The reason why I'm asking this question is I do believe that I have a bit of a cold right now. As colds are only something that you can catch from other people I started wondering who got the first cold and from what and why we even have them in the first place. So does anybody know where germs come from? :confused

Sites like creation.com, answersingenesis and evolution news and views are sites you should be very familiar with.

basic answer germs, bacteria etc were created at creation, but at the fall they started to mutate. Some that were benefical, changed so they became harmful.
It is the nature of mutations that it doesn't make new information, rather it corupts what is already there.

First of all I recently found out that I had/have either allergies or just sinus issues so it was never a cold after all. :) Second of all you do realize that you can't trust everything that you read online right? Where does it confirm this in scripture?

Virus ,bacteria and germ prevention via soap are where in the bible .bathing for certain rituals is mentioned but well if I wanted a class c sewer or water license i wouldnt study the bible as its not meant to be a biology book.

I know don't tell me that tell Who Me that as he was the one who said it was and so I was asking where he got that bit of information from.

The principals in scripture are what modern science stands upon.
Yes one has to becareful, there are lies out there like evolution.
But science has demonstrated that bacteria does exist as it has demonstrated that mutation only destroys information never creates.

First of all I believe that evolution and Christianity can certainly coexist,.. but second of all, that doesn't really answer my question. :/

The common cold comes from a virus. Viruses thrive more in colder temperatures and low humidity so, it is starting to cool off so cold season is coming. Since there is no real cure for a cold , prevention is the best route. Like being pumped up on vitamins A & C in winter time. And if you do feel a cold coming on a good thing to do (if you can stomach it!) is to eat a heaping teaspoon of cayenne pepper. They say paprika will work too, but I've only used cayenne for that when I tried it. Actually, to get it down, I stirred up the big teaspoon of cayenne into a cup of milk and drank that. And it knocked that cold right out of me! It also gave me a huge burst of energy.

Lol.ask to be pepper sprayed and I have has colds during the summer its quite common .

The rhinovirus it attacks the sinus, thus its name

Also I'm really sorry but this is starting to get really ridiculous. Even though I definitely believe that science and evolution can certainly coexist with one another there is absolutely nothing about this written in the bible. I believe that science and creation can explain each other but if you open a science book you're going to find science in it, and if you open the Bible you're going to find things about God and anything related to Him in it. You wouldn't open a math book and find history in it either.

Nothing I have written is against what the bible teaches or against science.
Just because the bible does not mention bacreria, dinosaurs mobile phones etc does not mean that bible believing Christians cannot know they exist and use them.

Yes I know but you didn't say that before. It sounded like you made claims that the Bible actually mentioned things about germs and bacteria that weren't actually in there at all. It mentions unclean animals and illnesses, but nothing like you said.

Best I can tell germs are always there. Some create worse deseises then others, while some are unnoticed because our body is good at combating them.

The worst 2 kinds of deseise that I am aware of are immune deficiency deseises like AIDS, and autoimmune deseises where your immune system fights parts of your own body. In one case any germ is enough to wreck havoc on you, while in the other case your own over active immune system goes to war with one type of body tissue or organ. Though I'm sure there are deseises that bring on worse conditions to live through, or die from, I can't really image a worse deseise state then having no immune system, or have a war within you waged by the immune system.

As for where germs come from... I think there's studies out there on how long certian germs can live in the air, or on a surface before dying. Some can't survive very long outside of a body they infect. Others unfortunately can stand a longer time. Gives me all the more reason to cover my sneezes as best I can.

You're reminding me of the book The Great Divorce by C. S. Lewis where, at the end of the book all the people got on a bus to return to Hell and they kept shrinking and shrinking then drove off into a tiny crack in the sidewalk. I laughed to myself and thought maybe germs are teeny tiny little souls who rejected Christ.......UGH my imagination.

less common said by layman but asthma is an autoimmune disease and so rheumatoid arthritis. both can be genetic, the asthma is triggered by manythings but is a reaction to a few things(burn pits being one)

As I said you need to become familiar with Christian sites that do science from a biblical bases.
