(Isaiah 45:4)JesusI charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality. (I Tim. 5:21)All believers, Jew and GentileBehold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. (Isaiah 42:1-23)Individual believersAnd he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. No. The elect is always Christians. Israel exists within the Israel of God, the Church, not outside of it. Jews have favor with God and always will, but it depends upon election in Christ. Election of Gentiles nations is also in Christ only, and not outside of Christ. Gentiles don't have to be circumcised in the flesh in order to be saved.Does the "elect" in the Bible ever refer to anyone but Christians?
