Oh I understand that as it's happened to me before as well. More than once in fact.
The greatest story ever told. Has more depth and symbolism than other faiths imo.
My agnostic secular life phase was cold and empty.
How Jesus tried to explain the New Covenant to legalstic Jews was very convincing too.

im getting old. There must be an afterlife. Otherwise my life is meaningless.
Meaning in life is not defined by its continuation or not but by the value you give it while you live it. What has uplifted me in my life is that Jesus brings purity and clarity that nothing else has done, and meaning over things often others dismiss, and in sin damage and destroy.
I find in His people and His story we have a picture of eternity which is worthwhile experiencing. And it is no joke unbelievers do not agree, but then it is in experiencing Him and the Holy Spirit that we know life everlasting.
