How are you walking in the light by committing sin? Do you believe it is alright to sin? Is that keeping the faith?

Brother, please read carefully what John says -

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

John does not say we don't sin.

The next verse tells us this -

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9

Paul says it this way -

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1

And again -

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

Same thing The Lord told Abraham -

Walk before Me and be blameless.

Walk in My Presence, Walk with Me...

It's funny I agree with all that because it is scripture, and yet in no way believe Paul was worried of losing his salvation. Your scripture meets the standard of God's will for our lives, but I have come to the conclusion committing sin is never going to live up to those standards. Again, is your committing sin what you call keeping the faith. enduring unto the end as it were, and then when in heaven receiving the crown of life for your efforts unto righteous? I wonder if somewhere along the line our Father doesn't consider just a bit of what Christ did in pouring out His blood, what our Father is doing in us, and considering the place along side His Son He wants us to take as the bride of Christ. To me if left to us, there is no righteousness in us that would grant the grace we enjoy. What to do? Love God for what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do; all praise goes to Him, not me and you even though we are the recipients of His mercy towards us. Walking in the light can be none other than being in Christ, and when and what sin separates you from Him? Jesus said it this way: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Blessings in Christ Jesus.

All praise and glory to the Lamb!!

He alone is worthy of all honor and glory and praise.

He has cleansed me of sin by His blood.

He is my righteousness and my life!

Blessings to you brother.
