It used to be that the only ones that had magic potions and stuff like that, were the witch doctors and witches. Sorcerers. Now, in Galatians 5, it says...

Galatians 5:19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.../(KJV)

In verse 20, it says Witchcraft. When we go to the Greek and look that up, it gives this:

G5331 pharmakeia

This is the root word of where we get the word "Pharmacy:. Medicine. Witchcraft goes to pharmacy.

The KJV translates Strong's G5331 in the following manner: sorcery (2x), witchcraft (1x).

And in the outline of Biblical usage, we see:
  1. the use or the administering of drugs
  2. poisoning
  3. sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
  4. metaph. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry

Definition:

†φαρμακεία pharmakeía, far-mak-i'-ah; from G5332; medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively):—sorcery, witchcraft.

Pharmaceuticals are the biggest industry on earth is what I heard. So the witches took over the world. I am not anti all medication, but it does seem like it hurts as much as it helps sometimes. The pill pushers have taken over tv advertising and its always filled up with warnings, may cause this, that, death...that is kind of eye opening.

Alchemy was the medieval forerunner of chemistry as back in those days you sought out sorcery that was considered witchcraft. It was a chemistry of mixing herbs and poisons and still continues even today. Look how medications have killed people and now come with a list of side effects that can kill you.

Yes. Sorcery.

Opens a person up to demonic influence.
