When a born again Believer is endowed with the Holy Spirit' ,It is a permanent Possession, and the Spirit gives everyone a gift for service. There is no such thing as a born again believer not having a gift, for the Holy Spirit is sovereign and gives gifts to whom ever He wills. This bond is so close and personal that The Lord feels the pain of His saints. (Acts 9: 1-5) The Lord identifies Himself with His people. A believer can grieve or hinder the Spirit in him, but he can not hinder or grieve it away.

I will not debate this above, Because I'am a witness to His endowing and the Spirit as I received it's many Spiritual works and understandings. In the word we are asked to be filled with the Spirit many times. This filling is not asking to be born again, for that is only done once. But the filling of the Spirit is done many times for power and strength to carry out your calling and election against the world.

I see the threads and reply's where some feel they are superior in knowledge, and knowledge is good if it is Spiritual and not carnal. I have seen some pretty mean spirited replies that are not delivered by the Spirit of grace or peace, but all of us are prone to zeal to defend the Gospel. But sadly, some teach their own self willed gospel...which is that other gospel , which is not the Gospel at all.

Many in the visible church are waiting for Christ return, as we all are. They have taken the OT Scriptures of promises to Israel and applied them to the Church. This belief has hindered the Church and her purpose more than anything else., for God has made specific promises to Israel and specific promises to the Church that are different from one another. It is not about if the Church has taken the place of Israel, It is about the purpose of the Church and her calling in God's foreknowledge.

Without The Spirit in the born again believer, we are a withered branch.(John 15: 1-14, esp. v15). As I talk with many that say they are Christians, about the Lord, They usually quote me Scripture and solace, and that they are just waiting on the Lords return. (Matt. 25: 14; 24-30).

But the Lord called out His body of born again believers to continue His Gospel. (John Chapters 16 & 17) Study them, they were not just for the disciples, but for us as well (John 17: 17-23) It seems like the visible church is comfortable right here (Heb. 5:12-6:1-3).

The Church was never promised material wealth because he was a believer.(John 16: 1-11; Rom. 8: 14-17) Those promises were to Israel as a nation under God and under Law.(Ex. 19: 3-8; 20:1-17).
The born again believers will be persecuted until the Lords coming, being found fruitful by the Lord.. (Matt. 24: 14-23). Dwell on these things, and don't be so quick to dispute them. Study! I'am not from this place, nor do I belong here. And I have known that at very young age.

Yes I agree with you sir..
I am walking with Lord since 26 years to serve him
I never found wealthiness for my own sake.. It is always hard for me to live for his work..
all things what i am getting is going to His work.. many misunderstandings from people, many attacks,, many times sufferings i am faciing.. i am believing this is the right path to serve him,..

Yeah - It would be pretty hard to be around the Holy Spirit and not be given some gifts, and since the Holy Spirit is spirit the gifts are probably going to be spiritual as opposed to monetary, not that He couldn't work that out too if needed..

Having gifts from Holy spirit is different... working for souls is different.. while we are with some vision .. may may think us as a mad person.. Mike Frankzin a writer wrote in his book,., The desire and vision for Lord... in this book... he wrote ... a person who is with some passion and vision for kingdom of Heaven (church on earth) ,, may appear like a mad person and he may become as victim in society or world.. because no one can understand His vision but only God..
In my practical life long time my wife not understood, later my own people in church.. has not understood the vision for kingdom of God,..,. after 25 years now they are slowly joining with me to work in better way..
Jesus said,.,. this is narrow path.. very few can join in this..
Nothing to worry.. we are called to do this.. we need to do this because God chosen us..
not by our works or not by our strength.. but Spirit of God can do this..
We need to submit... let us obey for this.. God bless you K2CHRIST..

We are indeed going to appear "mad" (or at least a little crazy) simple because we are often talking the Lord and His Kingdom and they don't have any knowledge of them. It is hard to know how to approach that, but we must. It is an eternal life and death matter, but not only that it means a better life now, because it means a Wonderful Counselor, and His powerful Kingdom. So it is that we need Him, We need to hear His instructions, which sometime are to wait and sometimes are to go. We don't know which unless we actually turn to Him and seek what He wants us to do, and hearing by faith what He has to say to us.

So yeah, I know I sound a bit crazy telling people I can hear from God, but I do. He gave me ears to hear Him, and then He started speaking instructions, wisdom, knowledge, parables, teachings, and He tells me He loves me. Not only that, but because He is the King I meet and know some in His Kingdom. That is to say He sometimes sends angels to minister to me also. Just like it is written:

Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of the Kingdom

So we know personally the King, who has a Kingdom

Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

So we have a Kingdom which includes angels that the King sends to minister to us also.

Thus I sound crazy to some when I say the Lord was telling me ... And crazier still when I say that He sent me an angel that was telling me...

For example once on the way home from a Bible study the Lord was talking to me and telling me that He was sending me 40 angels and He wanted me to try and figure out their names. Then in a vision appear the 40 angels. Praise was the angel in front. Joy was at the right hand of praise. An angel I called Reason because his message was to reason with the Lord, was at the left hand of Praise. Focus was behind Praise and told me that when the angels fell they used their God given abilities against God, so an angel meant to help you focus on what the Lord wants you to do now is an demon of confusion. Behind Focus were two tall angels Intercession an Evangelism, and they appeared tall because they look farther out than the other angels. Behind them was Success who was a small very personal angel whose message was 'go boldly with what the Lord tells you and that will make you a success'. And behind Success and in the back was Obedience, which appeared strong and tough. To the right side behind Joy were angels that ministered Grace, Peace, Mercy, Comfort, Happiness, and things like that. To the left side behind Reason were angels the ministered Provision, Planning, Organization, Finances,, Contentment, and things like that.

So telling people about our King and HIs Kingdom makes us sound crazy or mad, but knowing a God who is Love and the Kingdom that we have available is wonderful and we must tell others. So indeed, we wait on the Lord and His instructions and we then we work. And we have Kingdom of power that ministers and encourages us to go boldly forth and do what we are told.

Nice thread, and very important :thumbsup

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Did you know that when you accepted Jesus into your heart that you are no longer your own person anymore? Through regeneration or Spiritual renewal you have chosen to surrender every aspect of your being to that of being a faithful servant of God. Through your respect for what God has done in your own life you have now picked up your cross to be that disciple and follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

Through humility we have laid down our own lives, our own will and obedience to this world in exchange for Gods will in our lives and our obedience to him as we become that faithful servant that is no longer of this world, but through perseverance we strive daily through all the struggles of this world as we become loyal to the works of the Lord as he sees us through everything we face in this world.

We become disciples of Jesus the day we ask him into our hearts for we now can know the mind of Jesus through the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things that Jesus was and still is as a faithful servant of God and today he uses those who are faithful to him to serve others through us. We are Gods hands, mouth and feet as he works through us to reach out to others. Just as the disciples were commanded to go out into the world, we too have that same commission, Matthew 28:18-20.

I agree with you brother..
I am sure God is willing to use us in wonderful way..Once i was zero
now i am preaching, (to church), teaching (to college) leading (ministry) counselling (ministers workers and believers) talking to many.. First key is able to hear from God.. able to understand the people tendency, and able to make some impact in their minds.. All are used to plant many churches, and to train and send ministers to fields.,.
ONE THING WE NEED TO KNOW..God is the author.. Holy spirit is worker in all..
even we have the talents and gifts.. true minister always faces the troubles in fields
but God is in control for us././

Christians are called to work while they wait for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His saints. We do not work for our salvation, but we work out our salvation.
You are right ...
We are not working for our salvation.. Just working for other people salvation
Salvation is free Gift.. not to boast.. Eph 2:8
let us pray, let us unite, let us work together

My prayer is that you are satisfied with God's grace and the joy that He has seen fit to use us. Being useful to the Lord is thanks enough, Amen.

Natha, many do not believe the Spiritual witnessing's I post. Very few that teach or rely upon their learned credentials know what it is to be cast away by the religious Pharisee's and Sadducee's of this age. I have seen a multitude of the religious to associate godliness with material gain and wealth by the mega churches and TV pitch men on so called Trinity and Christian broadcasting. It literally insults the Spirit in me and shutters my soul to see what awaits them in their judgment before the Lord. They are comfortable in their beautiful church buildings, paying pastors huge salaries, buying them houses and a new car every couple of years. (yes, that goes on here in the states). They have no idea what it is to suffer Christ as you, and yet , you are joyful to serve with the Lord. Most of the sufferings I have had came from those who called themselves Christians. Their claim to being a Christian is their denomination and going to church. Christ called His body "brethren", because they both suffered the same things. (Heb. 2:1-19) But the visible church (not so much). Everything in heaven and earth is meaningless to man without Christ. (Book of Ecclesiastes)

Yes sir... you are right.. People and ministers are thinking Christianity is a religion.. They are forgetting to understand as a practice to walk with God.. Yes many false denominations and missions are raised in this century.. very sad.. forgetting the work of God.. 1 Pet 2:5.. Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ

So telling people about our King and HIs Kingdom makes us sound crazy or mad, but knowing a God who is Love and the Kingdom that we have available is wonderful and we must tell others.
Christ is not our King. Christ is not King of the Church, He is the Son of David according to the flesh and Son of God according to the Spirit (Rom. 1: 1-4) The purpose of being the Son of David is to fulfill the OT promise that the Son of David would sit again on the throne of Israel. Christ will be King over all nations. But the Church are Son's of God by rebirth (Rom. 8: 14-17). And God is our Father, Christ is our brother and we are joint heirs of God with Christ. We are Christ living organic and Spiritual body and he is Head of the Church, not king of the Church. (Eph. 5:23) The Church (His body) is a kingdom of priest and kings that will rule and judge with Christ. (Rev. 1:4-6). I'm curious, How did the vision of the angels further the Gospel of Christ when we can go directly to the The Father. How did you use it?

Interesting thoughts, Douglas Summers. I'm not sure of the logic you have for Christ not being our King. Does not a prince still have a King? The answer of course is yes. So we can be sons and He still be our King, just like any king having children doesn't mean that king is still not king even over his own children. Still, I believe it valuable to point out that the Lord is not only our King but our Father. He is call "Everlasting Father". Yet He is also called King of kings and even in Ps 2 we see that He was installed then as King upon Zion, God's Holy mountain. So while I agree with almost all your statements, I don't see where any of them mean His is not our King.

Also I love the question about angels. It's a great question. Angels, like people, have different characteristics and personalities. It like you and I, we might both serve the Lord but we know in part. For example, it seem you see the Lord as being the Father, and the head of the church, and so you emphasize those aspects of our Lord Jesus Christ. While I do see Him as such, I tend to see Him more as the King of the Kingdom of God. Probably because He has introduce me to and had angels minister to me. That doesn't make me better, it just gives me a different view. We all, because of our experience, have a slightly different view of God. So talking to angels is a lot like talking to other Christians, and we came to this forum for that reason. In the same way we should seek the Kingdom of God.

Angel are ministering spirits sent to the saint by the Lord. They expand our understanding of God much the same way other Christian ministers expand our thinking. And since this tread is about working and waiting, it is valuable to point out that angels can help you with both working and waiting on the Lord much the same way that other Christians can, but better because they have been around the Lord a lot longer. So saying we shouldn't listen to the angels that the Scriptures say God sends is akin to saying we shouldn't listen to the ministers God puts behind the pulpit at your church. The logic is the same. Other Christians know different things about God and so do the angels that serve the Lord. Yet the angels know more. The problem then is just a question of discernment of spirits, but that problem exists with people also.

We often tend to be like the man standing next the prophet. He only saw the enemy forces in front of him and missed the army of God which was behind them and in greater number. So I promote not only seeing the Lord Jesus Christ as our Father and head of the Church but also as a King over a Kingdom, of which as sons we are a part of and have access to. I suggest praying "thy Kingdom come" every day with the expectations of seeing and hearing from that Kingdom. Jesus said to pray that when you go into your inner room. Then the angels come with both knowledge and power which is useful with both waiting and working for the Lord.

Natha, here are some web sites that are suppose to help missionaries. Check them out and see if they will support the Gospel. Meanwhile, I will be checking also.

Christ is not our King. Christ is not King of the Church
In the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly refers to the kingdom of God. It is His kingdom.
John 18: 36: Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
And God is our Father, Christ is our brother and we are joint heirs of God with Christ.
That is absolutely correct. But Christ is still the king. Just as an earthly king may have brothers and sisters, so are we the brothers and sisters of our King.
1Ti 6:14-16 (RSV) I charge you to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ; and this will be made manifest at the proper time by the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
And what will "the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ" be like?
Rev 19:11-16 (RSV) Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems; and he has a name inscribed which no one knows but himself. He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, followed him on white horses.
From his mouth issues a sharp sword with which to smite the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron; he will tread the wine press of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.
On his robe and on his thigh he has a name inscribed, King of kings and Lord of lords.

The "Lamb" (Jesus) is also identified as the King of kings and Lord of lords. (Rev 17:14)
The Church (His body) is a kingdom of priest and kings that will rule and judge with Christ. (Rev. 1:4-6).
Rev 1:4-6 (NKJV) John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the (A) ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and (B) has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen
(A) Jesus Christ is called ruler of the kings of the earth as the King of Kings.
(B) We have been made kings who are subordinate to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Jesus is the King of the Kingdom of God.
Mat 28:18 (NKJV) And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
He is our king and the Body of Christ IS the church.
Col 1:24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

I can't really disagree with most of what you wrote. I'm just offering an alternate perspective.
