Hey guys, I just thought that I would post this before I made and ate supper and put away laundry. So now that Halloween is over it's time to start counting down until Thanksgiving. And right now there's only twenty-one days to go until we gather around the table to say grace and eat our turkey. Happy Thanksgiving ya'all! :biggrin2 (And I'm sure that Papa Zoom will really enjoy this. :biggrin)

Well since we were offline for awhile we had to skip a day and unless my calculations are incorrect that means that we're down to nineteen more days until Thanksgiving. :)

Plans are underway as we already secured the Community Hall as there is usually around thirty of us that gather together. We've outgrown everyone's homes as we have a rather large family and thirty is only the ones that live here, LOL. Now all I have to do is decide what I am going to bring.

I am too. If you haven't checked out my other Thanksgiving thread that talks about it yet you should. :) I'm also curious to hear about what you're thankful for this year as well. :yes

There's my mother and eight of us kids. Three are out of state and never make it home for the holidays so the other ones that live here with their kids and their kids kids makes a hugh gathering. It's a good time and lots of food and deserts.

Next Friday...a week from today I am doing one of my infamous meals. It's to cheat on my diet. Home made lasagna and garlic bread.
Gonna start on the tomato sauce Wednesday. Noodle making on Thursday.
Bread on Friday. The lasagna itself my wife will put together and bake after I make the ingredients.

Then I will focus on cookies and candy....sigh.

John, you are the only person in the world that I know of that could make candy and cookies seem like a bad thing. :lol

Cookies and candy are gifts...it's the lasagne and home made bread that are wickedly good. All the way from scratch it's exceptionally rich, full flavored, and calorie laden. My wife is on the keto diet and I'm on low fat and low protein diet. Lasagna doesn't fit in our diet plan. Neither does garlic bread. Someone else is going to make dessert. Don't care what. I won't be able to eat much anyway.

But....one meal planned in advance to cheat on a diet helps keep you on your diet plan. Especially if it's going to be worth it.
