Is the average person outside bad ?

Since I live in Edmonton I think about this from time to time there are Good people but in my opinion they are in the minority. My mom is paranoid because she watches the news and the news paints the average person in the city as an evil criminal.

My understanding is that most people are decent folk, as far as doing good and being kind to others. But that may still leave millions of people who are not. After all, at last count there were some 8 billions people on the earth. But every one of them is a sinner in God's sight.

Anyone who is not Spiritually born again having faith in God and His Son Christ Jesus will be judged by God and cast into the lake of fire as their names are not written in the Lamb's book of life no matter if they appear to be good people, but yet reject Christ. Rev 19-21
