Is it Wrong to Think About Hell All the Time?

Okay, you know the drill. Show me where the Bible says "People send themselves to hell because they made a choice to not believe in Jesus Christ." Thank you for providing a quick example of my point.

Is it Wrong to Think About Hell All the Time?

I agree with you. BUT. We can also ask several people who claim to have read the Bible, "what does it say?" and we will get several different responses and descriptions. I still believe just what the Bible says. Whenever someone tells me "The Bible says so and so", I look for myself. And I...

    Bible Study Who/What is Death?

I think it really means death. The end of life, the condition of Not Being Alive Anymore. This "enemy" is defeated by God giving us eternal life.

    The Switch To Sunday

Christians are free to worship God any day of the week. I like to celebrate the resurrection of the my Lord, He arose on Sunday. I don't care which day other people worship. I like to lay around on Saturday, sleep in, do nothing, then take a nap after a while. Get it?

Is it Wrong to Think About Hell All the Time?

Right, some believe that the body and soul are destroyed in hell. Some believe that the wages of sin is death. Most other people believe that the body and soul are not destroyed in hell and the wages of sin is eternal conscious torment in hell. I believe what the Bible says.

Is it Wrong to Think About Hell All the Time?

Hi Kevin, If you have been to Hell and seen it for yourself, then you know more about it than me or anyone who has not been there. I believe that the Bible is true, and all I can do is read what it has to say about hell and believe that. But if what you say disagrees with what the Bible says...

    The Furnace Thread

What can you tell us about this kind of furnace? Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace...

    The Furnace Thread

That sounds good, the problem with the filter I'm using now is that it has a flimsy paperboard frame. The filter was not very dirty, just a small circle of dust where the duct lines up. This small amount of dust restricts the airflow enough to cause the furnace fan to bend the paper frame and...

Yes, you don't want to be paying for another furnace when you get old.

    The Furnace Thread

Thank you Edward. Because of your post, I went downstairs to change my furnace filter. It's been a month. When I saw the filter, it was pushed out of the slot. I assume this means that I need to change the filter more often. Is this correct? Is there a more sturdy filter that I should be using?

Bible Study Is Death A Sin? - Yes!

No, the day the Adam ate the fruit is the day that he became subject to death, from that day forward he was mortal. That is what "dying you will die" means. There was no death in the world before Adam ate the fruit. Sin came into the world through Adam, and death came into the world through sin...

Bible Study Is Death A Sin? - Yes!

Consider the phrase in Hebrew, Mut ta Muth, "dying, you will die". It doesn't mean that God meant that Adam would die that very same day.

Bible Study Is Death A Sin? - Yes!

I can see that people have strong feelings about this. Maybe we just shouldn't discuss whether or not Adam died that day. I believe that the Bible is true, and if anyone had shown me a verse from the Bible that said that Adam died that day, I would accept it. That is not being "divisive", that...

Bible Study Is Death A Sin? - Yes!

No. There is evidence that Jesus Christ is God and the Holy Spirit is God, hence the trinity. This is completely different from so called "spirit death" which HAS no evidence in the Bible. Do you understand the difference? The Rapture is a whole 'nother can of worms. I believe that Jesus...

Bible Study Is Death A Sin? - Yes!

By understanding that Genesis wasn't written in English. Translators say that mut ta muth should be translated as "dying, you will die". This perfectly describes Adam becoming mortal that day. This is also my belief.

Bible Study Is Death A Sin? - Yes!

Exactly. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life.
