    Near/Far Fulfilment of Prophecy

Ive just been reading George E. Ladd who was a well known end-times teacher back in the 70's. His explanation is very good, so I thought I might post it up. Perhaps it will be of interest to some here. Near/Far fulfillment of prophecy (sometimes called, 'double fulfillment') happens when an...

Bible Study This Gospel of the Kingdom

Hi Douglas. Here is an article that I read recently. According to his summary (quoted below) 'the gospel of the kingdom' is said to be different to 'the gospel of grace.' Is this what you are saying too? Is anyone here aware if this doctrine is believed by many preachers or churches? The...

Bible Study This Gospel of the Kingdom

Hang on, Im a bit lost here. :confused2 Is the gospel of the kingdom of heaven different to the gospel of the kingdom of God? You say that the Kingdom of Heaven was postponed but will be preached again during the tribulation. What will its message be?

Bible Study This Gospel of the Kingdom

Hi Gardenia. I see 2 Peter 3:10 as the end of the world. Does this have something to do with 'the kingdom?'

Bible Study This Gospel of the Kingdom

A common explanation is that its connection to end-time events in Matthew 24 infers that a special message of an impending ‘Messianic age kingdom’ (centred in Jerusalem?) would be preached shortly before Christ’s second coming. This theory does not go so far as to say that it was a different...

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Yes, it is a very good example because they had to find food 'grown wild' for 2 years in a row. To make things worse, it happened at the same time that the Assyrians invaded - a test of faith if ever there was one! However, we have a problem with the date. Historians usually date the invasion...

Bible Study This Gospel of the Kingdom

We all realise that the gospel has many facets. There is the good news of ‘redemption’, the good news of ‘justification’, the good news of ‘forgiveness of sins’, the good news of ‘new birth’, and so on. However, in Jesus’ Olivet discourse, he zeroes in on a special facet of the good news. He...

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Reason #3 - The Jubilee count was not meant to be extended past Messiah! As I said earlier, the only reason Ive counted the Shemitah and Jubilees to our present century, was to prove that this year could not have been a Jubilee. If it was, the ‘sensation brigade’ would say, “Well, nothing...

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Reason #2 - The Ancient Jewish Calendar began in March - not September! End-time predictions based on the Shemitah and Jubilee are inevitably muddled because modern 'prophets' are using the modern Jewish calendar which begins in Tishri. (Sept/Oct) The Shemitah of the Old Testament was...

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Reason #1 - Modern Prophecies do not count from known Bible Jubilee Dates! The Jubilee came after every seventh sabbatical year. Yes, people have the Shemitah years right, but which one is is the seventh? Which one is followed by the Jubilee? To count between Jubilees we need to find a known...

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Yes, the old Jubilee can be found, but to do that we must find the Sabbatical years first. Fortunately, these 7-year interval dates have been found. A Jewish scholar by the name of Benedict Zuckermann researched the 2nd temple period, and the writings of the Maccabees and Josephus, pinning...

Why Modern Jubilee Prophesies are Wrong!

Recently there have been a bunch of failed end-time predictions. The latest cases relate to the ancient Hebrew cycles of ‘Shemitah’ and ‘Yovel’ – in English, the Sabbatical years, and the Jubilee. There is no doubt they were a part of an old Hebrew calendar, but that function no longer...

    BEWARE THE 4TH BLOOD MOON

They failed to observe 70 of them. (2 Chron 36:21) However, if we count from Moses to to Jeremiah there were 122 Sabbath and 17 Jubilee cycles. So, if we are to be exact, some had been missed, but others had been observed. Just because they didn't keep all of them, does not mean they didn't...

    BEWARE THE 4TH BLOOD MOON

I listened to the video and I think Larry Wilson does a good job dating the Sabbaths and Jubilees up to Christs death in AD 30. However, I have serious reservations with Bible teachers who project the Sabbath system beyond the Cross. The Sabbath and the Jubilee was fulfilled in Christ! I...

    BEWARE THE 4TH BLOOD MOON

Umm, not quite right Choir. :squint The seven-year cycles were reasonably well recorded during the inter-testament period and there is a good case for a Jubilee at the beginning of Jesus' ministry. Admittedly, the Jews lost the Jubilee dates but God wouldn't have forgotten. Have a look here bro.

    BEWARE THE 4TH BLOOD MOON

The last Jubilee was AD 27 when Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me ... to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” (Luke 4:19) If only Christians realized that the Jubilee (and the Sabbaths) were entirely fulfilled in Christ! :wave2
