    What is Daniels 70 weeks

That would have made him nearly 40 years old when he died. :study It doesn't fit Luke 3:23 very comfortably.

    What is Daniels 70 weeks

It had to be either AD30 or AD33 according to the position of the moon. Passover was always on full moon 14/15th nisan and the above years are the only years that work. 7th April AD30 according to this article.

    4 Shadows fulfilled in Christ

Foods Festivals New moons Sabbaths Four shadows. Can anyone suggest how these were fulfilled in Christ? For example, how was the keeping of Sabbaths 'found' in Christ?

    Calendar Evaluation

Any Christian or Jewish Astronomers here? My special interest is the subject of Bible chronology, in particular the Old Testament shmita - sabbatical year and jubilee cycle with its fulfilment in Messiah. As you know, the Hebrew Scriptures contain numerous lunar references and I have been...

Bible Study Was Jesus Crucified on Friday?

Sorry, I forgot to get back to this. The problem arises when we find an expression of Jesus which doesn’t seem to fit. He said, “Just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the...

Bible Study Was Jesus Crucified on Friday?

For centuries Christians have celebrated ‘Good Friday’ as the day Jesus died. No one disputed it; the early church agreed with it; the gospel stated it. Here is a statement from Justin Martyr about AD150. And here is the earliest gospel account. So, it was the day of preparation...

    Daniel’s 42nd week

Re: Daniels 2nd week – A major revival Whether we use the Hebrew, the Chinese, or ours, they are all governed by two unchanging things: The earth takes 365.24 days to get around the sun. The moon takes 354.14 days to get around the earth. Therefore, any calendar can be made to coincide...

    Daniel’s 42nd week

Nothing? Even though historical FACTS identify it as one of the weeks? Who said I was applying the 70th week to Antiochus? Have another look at the topic title bro. What Im asking is that we notice a connection between the 42nd and 70th weeks. And, what do we make of it? Any ideas?

    Daniel’s 42nd week

Good point. :thumbsup The Jubilees are harder to identify than what the shmita is but it can be done. And they are related as you say.

    Daniel’s 42nd week

I believe the same as what Vic and Sinthesis are saying. The Titus details are parenthetical to the 70-week prophecy. Incidentally LeHigh, I have noticed that some Preterist writers feel the same. Not all place the destruction of Jerusalem in the 70th week. (can’t think of the link just...

    Daniel’s 42nd week

Daniels 42nd week – Sabbatic cycle confirmed Thanks Vic. OK, let’s have a look at the 42nd week of Daniel. As shown in the chart it extends from 170 BC to 164 BC. Now, a ‘week’ is a block of seven years in the old Hebrew calendar similar to our ‘decade’ but smaller. The final...

    Daniel’s 42nd week

Daniels 7th week – Closing of the prophets We talk endlessly about the 69 weeks and more particularly, the seventieth week. But Daniel did not mention sixty-nine; he said 7 plus 62. It’s us who add them together. Obviously they follow on from each other so we just scratch our head...
