    Windows 11

The overwhelming report is that Windows 11 works fine. Most problems were caused by not knowing how to operate the system. A few patches corrected the rest.

    Tithing?

I just finished my 2021 accounts. My wife and I are retired Americans, living in Mexico. We have no income other than Social Security and a tiny pension, plus our retirement accounts. And we tithe. It doesn't happen every year, but we have more money today we had one year ago.

Do you believe in predestination ?

I taught both science and Bible in Christian high school. I would quote Jesus' statement "Before Abraham was, I Am." God created time, and He existed before time existed. God is not bound or limited by time.

"This is the only way man is able to test God (Malachi 3:10) ... And yes, it does work." Excellent point, Edward.

    Tithing?

I understand your thinking, but you are allowed to give beyond the tithe.

Do you believe in predestination ?

Remember that predestination refers ONLY to being conformed to the image of God's Son, and to be adopted as sons. Predestination to Heaven, to Hell, to Christ, to belief, to sin, etc., are philosophies of men that contradict the Word of God. Unconditional election is, itself, a pagan...

Do you believe in predestination ?

"How does God look down the corridors of time when time does not yet exist; when there is nothing but God? How does God obtain knowledge for NOTHING?" Another foundational error of Calvinism is the weakness and inability of God. For instances, Calvinists teach that because we are "dead in...

Do you believe in predestination ?

One of the foundational errors of Calvinism is reading the words "unconditional" and "unconditionally" into verses. Before the world began, God wrote about us. NOWHERE does the Bible say that God did this unconditionally. He knew what was going to happen, and He used His foreknowledge to record...

    Tithing?

I don't. But "tithing," by definition, is 10%. Anything beyond that is "giving."

    Tithing?

New Testament Tithing Brethren, I feel that the case for NT tithing is much weaker than its advocates believe, but stronger than its opponents believe. ” “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings.” “That’s the Law!”...

    Windows 11

Isilwen, it's no big deal either way. Essentially, Windows 11 is a Windows 10 upgrade that re-arranges the furniture and turns on the TPM chip. It works well for me, but it is no big deal.

    Tithing?

I appreciate so many courteous, informative posts. This is how I see it: 1) The case for New Testament tithing is FAR weaker than its adherents believe. 2) The case for NT tithing is stronger than most of our posters believe, but it not too strong. 3) There is no Scriptural justification for...

    Windows 11

Good post, Stove. But are you using the Windows 11 Preview version or the full version? The only difference is that the full version turns on the TPM security chip.

    Tithing?

WIP makes an intelligent point when he says "I believe when one gives to the Church he/she should use due diligence to find out if tithes and offerings are used appropriately. " He then follows with legitimate reasons why this should be true. But think this through: Should big givers be allowed...

Tax purposes. In order to make contributions tax-deductible, the donors must have proof from the church that they actually donated that amount.

    Tithing?

How do you identify the most genuine Christians in a church? Why, by the financial records, of course., especially if they're tithers. But is this a Biblical standard? Let's have some courteous responses, Gang!

    Windows 11

OK, Windows 11 usually works great on Windows 10 computers, but when do we get computers designed from the ground up for 11? Qualcomm is a minor-league player in the chip manufacturing business, but they announced that they are building a chip specifically designed for 11. The new chip will...

Do you believe in predestination ?

The discussion continues with Romans 9:18:"“Therefore hath he mercy on whom he unconditionally will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth unconditionally.” Nonsense God wills to have mercy on anyone who comes to Him. There are Old Testament cases of people humbling themselves and receiving...

Do you believe in predestination ?

Continuing the discussion: Jesus said "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” The Greek word "draw" is the same word Jesus used when He said that no one can be saved unless the Father draw him. The next verse shows that the Father draws all men to Christ by...

Do you believe in predestination ?

My friend Fred is correct. I inserted the words "chooses unconditionally." They change the meaning of the verse so that it teaches Calvinism and contradicts the next verse. Continuing: Does God teach all men, or only some? "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men...
