I’m not the best at introductions these days. But once I get posting in the topics I go along well. There are still plenty of things people can gather and talk about.
I like the approach of friendly discussions rather than harsh debates. Harsh debates make everyone bitter. Although the Disciples of Jesus did not always agree they remained in harmony of friendship. While I understand everyone does not believe the same at a Christian forum I would think people still have a common desire to seek God and to socialize with other Christians.
I have not been to a Church in ages. But I do enjoy discussing the Bible and including other topics such as current events I’m, considering one who is learning. I will always place myself in that category. What I mean to say is I don’t know everything about the Bible despite what scriptures I can find. It is just that I am better at knowing some things while perhaps misunderstanding other things.
God tries to bring people together to try to work out these misunderstandings. But in this gathering is not about compromising with such as Secular Humanism to please every ear but rather to how we can know God. For example I have heard Spurgeon is good in the book of Psalms. That is his gift. However he did not do a complete Bible take on the whole book. But he did put a lot of work in whatever he has covered while perhaps another person is good at discerning things in Isaiah or that of the Gospel of John. Each of us has our strong and weak areas. To some we know and to other things we may not have the full understanding. God reveals in his own time according to our faith and what we can comprehend.
Once upon a blue moon I did not understand the Trinity. How can God be Three? Yet how can God be one being? A friend who was an assistant pastor finally explained to me how the Trinity works. We may not understand at one time but we still believe in God and trust. But even though I now understand Trinity I still don’t understand how God can keep his eyes on every person who is alive or even more perplexed as how said God live a past with no beginning? If he was the first what did he do then when there was nothing but God Himself? Then also how does God have a Son Jesus and not involving any birth or Mother? These kinds of things have been beyond what I can answer.
The only things I can try to answer are those things God shares in the Bible. As for other topics go I try to read and find out what I can or just try to work off the discussion to join in. If I don’t know everything about the Bible then I certainly don’t know everything about other topics. I’m ok at Political topics. But tell me about the Military and I don’t know much about the Armed Forces. I can learn from one who is in the Armed Forces how the need to go about I can learn from such a person. That’s why I place myself as a learner no matter what I can teach there is always room to learn more. I’ll never say I know enough. I’ll always say or think I wish I just could know more. And to me any position in Church from the door keeper to the pastor is still learning also. Jesus said Do not call anyone Father or teacher because you have only one Father and one Teacher that being God Himself. God does not need to learn. We are the ones needing to continue trying to learn from God.
