A confession of politics

I'm not a conservative. I'd like to think I'm not a liberal either, because it seems like our nation is dividing itself up between the two labels and doesn't care to listen to eachother.

I don't know about you, but I don't like the environment where in a liberal group being called a conservative is an insult, and in a conservative group being called a liberal is an insult.

The Independant Nation of Jesus Christ is a good place to live. No politics, No war, No lies, No greed, No worries. Everyone eats, Everyone drinks.

The King says, "Forget the world if it cant adjust".

I've been a registered "independent" after the Carter years. Have voted a straight republican ticket in the general elections ever since, but I refuse to be button holed as one.

Like my dad told me before I got married, don't sweat the small stuff.

Since politics is 99% deception, I don't think keeping up with it is very important. I only grab the highlights of it to compare with scripture so's I can tell what season it is.

It's not just politics though. Not just who you vote for. People are divided about guns, defending against terrorism. People are divided over abortion and the right to choose. Divided about once a person is in office over that person, or even the party they are apart of. In the years that shooting have been more and more frequent, I've seen a politician shot at a political rally. She's recovering but still a loss of words to that act. I've seen people indecisive about how to handle guns leaving an open window for those to attack and no real action that was taken to stop it in any direction. Even recently seen an attack on Planned Parenthood. In the news the guy is quoted to doing it for the babies.

These observations are in my opinion a state of threat for us as a society, how those with a shaker mental state descide to take action in their own hand, and it had a large portion to the strong language on both sides to any hot issue. We need to not add to the problem by hinting that liberals are dirty, or that conservatives are dirty.

is it that high?. I live in a small town. I have met a lot of the politicians, an have gone to church with a few. city an county, if you are really that informed, you will be able to tell the lies.

Getting along can be done. I live in a politically divided family - me and son conservative, wife and daughter liberal - and I live in a heavily liberal state and city, and worship in a heavily politically liberal church. We all get along great as family and friends because politics is not the most important thing in our lives.

I have liberal family, dad is one, and are his cousin's

Its majorly twisted when millions of babies are being aborted at the same time millions of refugees are being welcomed.

Agreed, Brother, but who's that well informed? Hardly anyone. If people were that informed, we wouldn't be on a forum debating this n that about issues, we'd be discussing spiritual issues about the Word.

Can you believe that us Christians even debate about lbgt, abortion, & elections? Scripture is clear on these things!

The elite mask the truth about everything to create division among the people.
Smokescreens to distract. Promoting immorality to create social crisis. It never stops, and our best defense is to turn the babblebox off, and put on the whole armor of God.

Jesus said, "be not deceived..."... (That's not a suggestion, but a commandment.)

Live video recordings of city hall, school board meetings, and county commissions are on the Web pages.abortion is a state ,federal level. If i was a city resident or the democrat who lost were to run for county or school board .depending on her stance I would consider her.she was more for the people then the corporate owned shrill who claim Jesus and lie to you about it.the republicians here act much like the democrats when it comes to the laws.a contract is only a contract at our convience.www.irshores.com the lawsuit link.interesting story with that as they had a meeting of 200 there with the update.if you care to vote get the facts.Im guilty as I don't always follow it.but I have seen the candidates rotate office.if any of the shores counsel members were to run for county.it would be hell to da no!you don't mind overcharging your customers for reuse water but want to force a tax increase on the city residents and dismantle the city of vero? Hypocrisy.

there is only two groups to blame for our society today; liberals pushing the envelope and conservatives for not standing up when they should have.

It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.

This sort of logic I think is the brunt of irrational acts done for a cause. Whether it's attacking defenseless abortion clinics, or for a war against the west for allah, it comes to the same difference. Misplaced zeal plus in a culture that has too much social preasure saying "this or that isn't right," leads to explosions of violence.

If we want to defend ourselves against the threat, fine do that. But adding to the problem with malice to the other side, and making an enemy of them is only drawing our nation to horrific events.

Bottom line of pros:

-Liberals push the envelope with the intent of bettering the world, and to create a moral structure. From ending slavery, woman's vote, homosexual rights, and abortion. Each is pushed with the intent of bettering the world. That intent regardless what it's actually focused on or whether it's been conned is a Nobel intent. It should not be shamed.

-Conservatives hold to the roots they came from and hold a critical standard to the world. From moral standards, foundations of our nation, to even to not fix what isn't broken (even if it mostly is broken), consertives are not a group swayed by big promises of change, and following the golden goose. That resolve and merrit are also of a Nobel quality and should not be sneered at.
------------
Cons for both could be a decent list and if you talk to a people that are of one group they will be able to give their criticism of the other group very readily and with examples. But one con that is shared by both groups is how easily they can be lied to and stand by those lies. Politicians lie and the only ones who seem to see the faults in their promises or in their actions are critics from the other party lines. High hopes of legislature are passed based on one understanding and used in a different way, and when the same legislature is proposed again it's passed again with just as often the same results.

For instance Colorado became a mariguna state under the promise that the taxes for the sales would go to schools. From a teacher I know, they've seen nothing to her school, yet there were a good amount of sales and profit. Later (I think to try and sweep the matter under the rug) a law was proposed to return the "excess profits" to the tax payer, followed again by proposed law to use the tax money on other needed city and state investments.

Another example is intelligence gathered under the Bush years that was critical for invading Iraq, only later to find out it wasn't really there.

Both parties are susceptible to lies and corrosion. Liberal is no more nor no less Nobel then consertive is. To say otherwise is to bring strife. A nation against itself can not stand.

We are either liberal or conservative whether any of us like it or not, honestly. It might not be fun to pick sides, but our principles pick sides for us. What are your feelings on immigration, gun control, abortion, LGBT rights, the demonstrations at Mizzou? Your answers to those questions will tell you and everyone around you whether you lean left or right. Of course, we can be conservative on some issues and liberal on others, and even consider ourselves to be non-partisan and politically moderate, but it doesn't make us any less conservative or liberal at heart.

I don't like the environment either. This seems to be the most polarized time in the left-right paradigm in awhile. Even non-political people will voice some pretty strong opinions about current affairs if you get them talking about it. I know consistent, lifetime non-voters who are rallying for their candidates of choice. And although I don't like this charged environment, it does give me a little bit of hope -- give me a colloseum over a morgue any day, I'd rather see radical opposition in politics than apathy and indifference. Opposition gets things done.

Being wholeheartedly a conservative reactionary, I'm quite disenchanted by liberal progressive principles. There's a lot I can't see eye to eye with when it comes to liberals -- some would say that makes me a champion, others would say that makes me a buffoon -- but it isn't about being praised or made the villain, I'm just standing up for my beliefs, and I feel very strongly about life at conception, the right to bear arms, I am nationalistic, I believe trans-anything is mental illness, most liberal folks think I am the devil. But at the end of the day, being conservative is just part of who I am. My best friend is a liberal progressive atheist. I love him like a brother. I would lay down my life for him. We have heated disagreements, but can sit down afterwards for dinner. That's what it's all about. I am tough on issues, easy on people -- at least I try to be.

no matter what obama tells you this country was a Christian nation early on and if you read some of the laws you will find quotes right out of the Bible. I would say from 1776 till early 1900's it was ran by conservatives then the liberals gained control and the roaring 20's came along and it has all went down hill since liberals ( dem and Rep ) have gained control.
the conservative went silent.

I have no malice if you check there was very little abortion before the 60's and 70's. very little dui's very few boobs on tv. the list goes on. Our law of freedom of speech were written int he conservative frame of mind and changed to perversion by liberal thinking.

how does wearing less clothes on tv so the kids can imitate what they see bettering the world or showing morals.
homosexuals starting 6000 years ago have always been not normal it has said that for at least 50 years back from today in dictionary and encyclopedia inevery school I every attended. liberals are promoting them as normal not the conservatives.

I think you have liberal republicans confused with conservatives.

I believe there are democrats ( mostly liberal) ; republicans ( mostly liberal ) and conservatives
