Sometimes i go on forums that are extremely and violently secular and bring up "bible stuff" as this gets a lot of conversations going and eventually someone is going to ask you to prove that God or Jesus exists = without using the Bible..
Thats a good one.
So, what i do sometimes to answer this is some type of Riff on the wonderful Saint Thomas Aquinas idea that "everything has a beginning", that exists within time. (First cause) (esse fieri)
Tho God, who does not exit within time is excluded as He is not bound by the Aquinas principle of "first cause".
We know that Christ is referred to as the "Alpha and the Omega" in your bible, (beginning and end).
Our bible also tell us that God said.. "let there be",... But, then....John's Gospel tells us that Jesus "stood on the world HE Made"....and Colossians 1:16 explains that everything you see, all of creation, was made by Jesus.
So, God speaks, Jesus does it.....its all literally connected, as both are "One", and "Jesus is God manifested in the flesh"......on and on., like that.
Jesus said : "i go to my Father and your Father", and then Thomas says to Jesus while kneeling..."My Lord and my GOD", .. and you notice that Jesus didnt correct his theology.

So, what i do, is approach the atheist with the simple idea of a ROSE..
Do you Remember that your bible told you that "creation proves the existence of God" in Roman's 1?
Well now, the Rose.....

A Scientist, using the most advance technology, within the most high tech Lab, can make or (clone) a Rose using a Seed, or a Piece, or a Cell. Or, by combining 2 Roses He can make a Hybrid.
But all of this you understand is only recreating what already exists.
The seed, the cell, the parts, ....its all there already, and all the scientist can do, within all the glory of his technology is recreate a pre-existing Rose, using available parts.
The scientist cannot create a Rose from scratch.
The scientist cannot create a Rose from nothing.
Only GOD can CREATE a Rose , as the very first one.
Same with the Planets. . Same with the Stars .. Same with the Universe .. and all Life itself.
Only GOD the CREATOR can create it all from NOTHING.
