Sometimes I like to think about things from an analytical perspective and see where my thought process takes me. I would like to invite others to see where the discussion leads.

Accepting Jesus as our Lord is the key to being saved right. So if the Greek word for Lord means owner, master, authority etc.. it's more than just words but a lifestyle where we acknowledge Jesus as Lord and allow his decisions to be ours. If we don't are we really saved?

The new nature leaves distinct footprints. Generally speaking, if you don't have those footprints to go along with your faith in Christ you are trusting in a 'faith' that can not save you. That's why we are admonished to make our calling and election sure by 'doing' certain things--so we can know we are saved and prepared for the Day of Wrath. If we can't produce the fruit of the kingdom we need to take a good look at our relationship with God and make necessary corrections that will then produce the desired fruit that shows we are indeed saved by faith in Christ.

Lordship is a sign of salvation.

It is very simple to believe when you understand he is the literal Son. Like, whoa...........that guy who walked the earth just like me is the Son of God. You can't refrain yourself from thinking he is beyond AWESOME!!!!

He is Lord because he has power over us, but he should because he has God as his literal Father.

So, you do have to see him as Lord in order to be saved. That means you are saved because you understand who he is.

I don't mean in terms of believing in who he is but in understanding what Lord means and treating him as such. It's a little like someone reading Psalm 51. Understanding what David meant with each verse along with his heart and mindset paints a completely different picture than someone reading it at face value. Not to take anything away from that person but if they don't have that understanding then the actual weight of what's being said is misunderstood.

Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

When we first accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior then we also need to start that personal relationship with Him. It's like a marriage in a sense that you first started a relationship as friends and then allow it to grow until you become as one having the same mindset of Christ.
