An El Nino Year

They say it is an El Nino year and here in Florida it will be a warm and wet winter with flooding in certain areas.

How does an El Nino year effect the weather in your area?

It is winter right now, and today right now it's 79 degrees, suppose to get up to 82 degrees, overnight low tonight at 68 degrees.
It's overcast, humidity at 80% and rain is on the way coming in off the Gulf of Mexico.

We've had one spurt of snow so far here in WV, not even a quarter inch of accumulation. Most of the days this season you've been able to walk around in jeans and a tee shirt. It's 64 degrees now and it's gonna be 71 on Christmas Day, with a little rain.

What a nice Spring we're having this Winter.

We have been getting more rain than we have in years, which is great for the San Joaquin Valley in California. Depending on the source you go to we have been in a severe drought for quite some time.

Plenty of snow has fallen recently in the sequoias with more to come. Will definitely help with the depleted water table.

So I woke up this morning and it's 72 degrees.
Later it's suppose to get up to 87, a record high.
We're having record highs every day right now.
Is anybody having a white Christmas?

It was cold enough to snow here this morning, but unfortunately the precipitation fell too early yesterday. Ah well.
