It seems more and more that we as a group will simply copy and paste someone else's work instead of doing our own work.

"Here, read this, it says it all for me".

Sound familiar?
A blog, a lecture, a sermon, a story, whatever, we don't write it ourselves anymore.

Have we become a group of couch potatoes in front of the computer?

What's wrong with it as even I have a website that anyone is welcome to copy and paste from. We need to read it first and study it with scripture to know what is written is truth or error. We had better be doing our own homework before we copy and paste from a website and I include my own. I very seldom use websites unless I am looking for something particular, but then I always try the spirits for discernment as I compare site with site and scripture with scripture by allowing the Holy Spirit teach me. Most everything I post in forums are from my own book I wrote, but never got published yet.

Oh, so you've done years of research and put it all in your book, so now you have it all at your fingertips?

Rollo Tamasi who ever you are this week ..:).. Some of us can not write for beans.. copy and paste is often better or ( in my case) easier on the reader..
Sometimes i copy and paste Scriptures and still get griped at :angry3

I like to think of myself as a couch french fry, as I do not weigh enough to be an full fledged potato.

I'm sorry I bother you this much.

Rollo seems like you are having a bad day. We are only concerned for you as you have always been a pleasant man in your post, but today this is the second time you have attacked me. Have I wronged you in any way? If you are having problems in your life I will certainly lift you up in prayer.

Just a reminder
Also...we are brothers and sisters in Christ and if someone makes a comment that sounds offensive we should keep in mind that in most cases no one is intentionally trying to be offensive. Sometimes a comment will be misunderstood and then the comments that follow tend to be negative.

1) Give other members the respect you would have them give to yourself. (ToS 2.4)
Address issues/ideas, not persons or personalities. Do not insult, publicly post derogatory opinions of others, post insinuation to belittle or discredit, or otherwise create a hostile environment. Present evidence for support or rebuttal during debate. Bashing the author of another view or opinion is not evidence.

Missing your lovely wife?
Why don't you send her a lovely text or message and tell her how much you love her?

I've been in so much trouble on this forum, I sometimes can't tell.

Sorry, I have come across to you the wrong way, typical me.
It seems that you have a great deal of information at your fingertips at your disposal from previous research.
I too, have done a great deal of research but have saved none of it.
Now I have to rely on my memory and current research capabilities.
This is how I get overwhelmed.
You respond with a huge answer that you just have to copy and paste.
I, in turn, would have to study your answer and start doing research to answer your statements.
It's sort of a one sided debate.
With my health issues, I get troubled easily.
I don't like it one bit, but it happens.
It just tells me to stay away from debates of controversial issues.
I don't go into A & T anymore for this reason.
I guess I have to add End Times to my list.

The great Atonement warned me of this.

Yeah, what she said.

('cept for the book part. I ain't done no writing books yet.)

Remember, RT, we are only allowed three days of continuous complaining.... after that, you have to post at least two positive posts, or just sit on your hands till your funk passes.

Just wanted to make sure you were doing alright and will keep you in prayer for your health issues. I also have to study and research when someone post something I don't understand and it might take me all day to research before I can reply. I know at times some of my post may be long, but I truly do not know how to make them shorter in order for others to understand the whole of what I want to bring across. I find when I take my time with longer post then it can bring me much knowledge when I research what others post. I refuse to debate or argue over what scripture says as it comes across much better when we take our time and discuss instead. I, like you, pick and choose what topics I want to get involved in as it can get snarly at times.

Take care of yourself while wife is gone and relax and don't allow yourself to become to overwhelmed, life is to be enjoyed. God bless:pray :)
