Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ..

The things which shall be hereafter..

The Apostle to the Circumcision speaks of being sober and hoping to the end for the grace which is to be brought to them at the revealing of Jesus Christ..

Interesting isn't it..

Grace being brought to them at His appearing..

The Apostle John writes in similar fashion and also speaks of the revelation (or unveiling) of Jesus Christ.. with respect to the things which he has seen, the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.

1 Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

And this all develops around the Lord's Day of Revelation 1:10. The before, the present, and the hereafter are but three of the viewpoints to be enlarged upon. I look forward to your thoughts on this.

In Jesus' name.

Thank you brother and Amen.. The Day of The Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ certainly pertains to the things which shall be hereafter... And there's so much detail in the word of God with respect to all of these things..

The things which they have seen..

The things which are..

The things which shall be hereafter..

I look forward to your thoughts just as much !

And He shall send Jesus Christ...

When the Apostle to the circumcision preached those Holy Spirit filled gospel messages... after that first Pentecost, following the days of that miraculous life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth...

He spoke of that grace which is to be brought to them at the appearing of Jesus Christ..

Remember what he said...?

Remember who he was speaking to ?

Here's one thing that Apostle said at the ninth hour of day.. the hour of prayer..

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Peter was speaking to Jews.. Israelites.. there in Jerusalem, the city of the great King.

Peter had also spoken of another king.. David.. and how that he is dead and buried and that his sepulchre is there to this day.. but it won't be in that DAY.. the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ..

Because the resurrection of the dead in Christ will happen at His coming.. at that LAST DAY..

We aint seen nothin yet folks.. because in that Day we'll see Abraham, Isaac, and JACOB.. along with King David and every other OT patriarch who has been justified by faith in God.

These are the things which shall be hereafter..

This one thing...

IF there were one thing which the Apostle to the circumcision wanted men to not be ignorant of.. it is this..

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

As we see that Day approaching.. the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ.

Jer. 17:
24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the Lord, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

Might get a little crowded in Jerusalem.

Im sure that in the regeneration; the world.. and more importantly.. the LORD can handle it.. in that day, when He shall sit upon the throne of His glory.. when He comes in His glory along with His Holy Angels..

Surely you're not going to tell us that He has already come... or are you going to spiritualize it all away and tell us that the Day of the Lord is in the HERE and NOW rather than the hereafter..?

Or would you think that He can't handle that..?

How about what the other Apostle to the circumcision has to say concerning the last DAY...

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Can you see that Day approaching..

This is the grace which shall come to them at the last Day.. at the revelation of Jesus Christ.. whom the Heaven must receive until the restitution of..

ALL THINGS..

Maybe we'll all be real tiny? :lol

Uh, no. You know better'n dat.

or are you going to spiritualize it all away and tell us that the Day of the Lord is in the HERE and NOW rather than the hereafter..?

He never leaves us or forsakes us. What does that tell you?

Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

There is currently and has been for a long long time, an intentional and Divine coverup.

The church of God is in CHRIST and we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, the earnest of our inheritance in Him until the DAY of REDEMPTION.. and the whole creation groans, even we who have the firstfruits of the Spirit.. and is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.. to wit, the REDEMPTION of our bodies.

The Day of the Lord is not here and now.. because Satan is currently the god of this present evil world.. although that too will change at His coming.. when the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ.. in that Day, the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ.

The things which are are certainly amazing to say the least.. although they're not even worthy of comparison to the glory which shall be revealed in us.. the things which shall be hereafter.. things like these vile bodies being fashioned like unto HIS infinitely glorious and resurrected BODY..

The night is far spent, the Day is at hand.. the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ.. which shall come as a thief in the night, and as travail upon a woman with child.

The marriage of the Lamb to His wife...

The church of God will be presented to Himself in that Day.. His glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing.. and we can't even begin to understand the depths of that.. the marriage of the Lamb (of God) to His wife..

It surely will be a marriage made in Heaven..

Just another infinitely wondrous thing which shall be hereafter...

Yeah Jesus was kidding when he said ;
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Its a shame Christ lacked your supeiror insight.

Since when did you adopt the last day resurrection ?

The city of the Great King...

It should be noted by any student of the holy scriptures.. that there are twelve Apostles pertaining to the Israel of God... and one Apostle for the Gentiles.. specifically for the church of God.

The most staggering thing is that in the end.. the nation of Israel is going to be led to repentance, and all Israel shall be saved in that day.. even though Satan and the entire world come against them...

We know this for certain because the Apostle Matthew tells us plainly in his gospel.. that in the regeneration, WHEN the Son of Man shall sit upon the throne of His glory.. that His (resurrected) Apostles will also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel..

Matthew 19 and Matthew 25 are perfectly connected in that they both speak of the LORD sitting upon the THRONE of His GLORY, and Matthew 25 makes it perfectly clear that this will be..

WHEN He COMES in HIS GLORY..

In that Day, the Day of the Lord, the Day of Jesus Christ.

A great wonder in heaven... a woman with child..

And of course Revelation 4-20 from the Apostle JOHN is absolute miraculous detail of this entire DAY.. the Day of the Lord Jesus Christ... pertaining to the things which shall be hereafter.. the OT also has limitless living and powerful things to say concerning the Day of the LORD...

And it's coming.. even as a thief in the night and as travail upon a woman with child...

Psalm 149
4 For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

Who misled Paul into thinking?;

For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
