1. read the Bible
2. pray
3. come to Church
4. read or listen to Online testimonies (give links)
5. think more deeply about why you are interested in Christianity
6. read this book (besides Bible) on Introductory Christianity

I would be tempted to ask them questions to find out their motivation for becoming a Christian. I wouldn't advise the Bible immediately. Possibly suggest a Bible Group for beginners if they were very interested and there was one available.
As this is a very important phase, I think good advice is essential. I would ask, have they explored other traditions or faiths? Ask them why they discount them now. If they are still doubtful, I might give my own testimony in a gentle way. Not wishing to force anything.
Possibly an offer with no strings attached to visit Church with them.

Two things. (Maybe three).

One is to look for God. My thought is that if I could find God so can they. In that step I might recommend a few different approaches but prayer would be part of it no matter what.

The second third would be to read the bible, mand I might recommend the bible translation I used to first read the bible, because it was easy to read and understand. The best way to understand Christianity in my opinion is to have a good foundation on the texts in the bible. That way you aren swept away from so many of the theologies and doctrines out there about Christianity. If it's difficult to read, I'd recommend a bible study group to join so that you are studying with others and have a structure tithe study. I'd even say to pray before reading or while reading even. Let God be part of the experience of reading the bible.

I have a very good friend though who has had issues reading as a habit, and I think reading the bible was difficult for him also. But this friend is a very good and devote Christian. Whatever he's gotten from church or otherwise it's stuck. So while I recommend reading the bible, I don't think it's necessary to be a Christian. Looking for God, and going to church are good steps too.

Technology is great, liars cannot decieve when you can type in any key word and bring up any bible chapter or verse at the click of a button. Just type in son of man for example on a Bible website and everytime son of man is mentioned it will bring up all the verses.

Throughout the centuries many must have been decieved by false teachers because you would have had to read the entire bible just to try find and call them out for one lie.

Like a false teacher said "The scripture says let the poor say I am rich". Not in the bible, easy search. Liar.

These are all good things to do.

I would say the best advice to give someone considering Christianity is to consider that God loves them deeply, and that they are considering a change from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God, where Jesus Christ is to be their Lord.

He wasn’t voted in by a majority, but rather He is God Almighty, the creator of heaven and Earth.

He is hated by the world and you will be hated by the world also, when you choose to follow Him, and obey Him as Lord.

Those who choose to follow Him, and obey Him, will be given eternal salvation and live forever with Him and all who choose to confess Him and obey Him as Lord.

He loves you and laid down His life for you on the cross, and desires for you and all mankind to dwell in His kingdom forever.

His ways are the ways of love and peace.

But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
1 Corinthians 2:9

i dont think good Christians will be hated by everyone.

Not everyone,

Nevertheless....

18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
John 15:18-19

People are still being deceived today. If not, we wouldn't have so many different denominations.
