As it turned out that I was demon possessed until the 29th April 2009, when Christ delivered me from it in my bedroom, I found myself wanting to not only know as much about my Saviour as I could, but to also know more about the role that Satan has played in my life and in the history of life as we know it.
I came across two interesting books:
Satan and his kingdom - http://www.amazon.com/Satan-His-Kingdom ... 0764206494
(by Dennis McCallum)
and
Satan a biography - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Satan-Biography ... 0521604028
(by Henry Ansgar Kelly)
The first delves into who Satan is, evil spirits, demonic control and spiritual warfare. I have finished reading it and it has helped me to understand more about certain influences in my life that I could relate to as times when Satan had total control, i.e. drugs, alcohol, anger, revenge, depression and lust.
The spiritual warfare content is informative and I have definitely learnt a lot of useful info which I am sure will come in handy in the future.
The second book however, which I have nearly finished, is more a breakdown of Satan's role in each individual scripture that he appears in and it seems to portray Satan in a much more different scenario than the one invented by the early Fathers of the Church. This book has definitely opened my eyes up to a more thorough understanding of Satan, and, exactly what it was that was living inside me.. :crazy
