Just goes to show that once again, Jesus was correct.
Remember when they persecute you, they persecuted me. If they hated me, they will also hate you. Consider it all joy if you are persecuted for my name's sake.
Here's proof of that claim. A man stands up for the truth of God's word and the world persecutes him. I can't imagine that a believer wouldn't have known that was likely to happen.
