College relationships in general

Well a few of you have been in college for a while, how have you been doing relationship-wise. By this I mean both romantic and platonic relationships. Are the people you socialize with different from those in your hometown? Do significant others you have seem of a different sort than those you had in HS, if you had any?

SyntaxVorlon,

Well since you asked here you go:

My platonic relationships have been great and they have been an answer to my prayers. This year alone I have made more good Christian friends then I have ever made in my entire life. In High school I really only had many acquaintances and a few close friends. College has brought me several close friends. The best part about my platonic relationships is the fact that all of them have helped me grow in my relationship with God.

As for romantic relationships…none yet and in fact never had one. I have decided to shift my focus off of having a romantic relationship and on to growing closer to God and making as many good Christian friends as I can. If I am meant to have a mate, wife, then the Lord will provide.

I don't socialize much with people at school mainly because this semester I am only in 1 course so I am never around and also I am a fair bit older than most.

I have been blessed with more great friends as well. NPX is one of many. I am so thankful that God has given me great buddies. Thank you npx for your friendship to me. You are a awesome friend.

I've always been one of those guys who seems to get along with everyone. Since God has blessed me with the gift of discerning spirits, I can figure out most people well enough to converse with them. Plus, God has put a lot of great people ahead of me to take care of me while I'm here in Georgia. Just look at the number of BPC people who have joined the forums lately, we're amassing a small army. Mac, NPX, W4H, Clown, and Preachersgirl are all becoming great friends of mine, and trust me there will be more of us. 8-)

God is awesome like that. No only has He been blessing me with friends who I can see face to face, but I'm making tons of friends on these forums. 8-) He loves to bless us like that. Plus, it doesn't hurt to have someone to look out for you. God's blessing's.

How good and pleasant it is when brothers can live together. Psalm 133:1
It is wonderful to be unified and love one another. We should show more love to our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Well as for bf/gf relationships in College are a bit complex. I mean you both are gonna be busy studying and etc and of course a job. Ick, I avoid relationships since I barely stand people after a day of school and work. ;) Hehehehe.

That's one way to do things. Some days I just hid myself and chillout to some good music. Some days I just need some time to myself. 8-)

Just want to say thank you to all my friends that God has blessed me with this year you all are wonderful.(You know who you are). :D :-D

Well my romantic realtionship is exactly the same person as he was in high school considering we were married our senior year

Platonic relationships are a little different though - still the same sorts of people but in high school Aaron (hubby) and I and his sister Emma were an inseperable trio and I really didnt have any other close friends. Now we have a huge mixed group of fellow geeks that are as close as family

I have made no friends at college. All of my friends are outside of college My interests and Old School ways have forced me to walk and fight alone.
