Today I got around to cleaning out my desktop Dell 220 Vostro, I have not cleaned it out in 2 years or more, and by me being a computer builder at one point, I know better, but hey I am lazy. The fans vents and other components were very dusty. Dirty fans misdirect air from it's intended target. I also went to Dell's site today and I let them diagnose my rig and it passed with flying colors. Then I let them check for outdated drivers, and boy was it a lot. So I ended up downloading and installing about 27 updates for the rig. This is a good rig, that I need to keep in tip top shape, I triple boot Windows 8, Windows 7 and Linux Unbuntu on it and it soldiers on with out any problems. Heat is a enemy of the CPU and cleaning that fan will help to make that CPU run cooler and I monitor both core temps anyway. I am thinking about slaving another hard drive in there and maxing out the RAM. The only problem that I ever had with this Dell rig was a failed PSU which I got a good price on one from ebay. So now all I have to do for a while is keep the Windows dreaded registry in line and that's about it.

Now I am thinking about overclocking it a bit.

Ah... the joys of triple booting! Is each OS loaded on a separate physical drive? I once tri-booted 8, 7, and Ubuntu on a several partitions of a single laptop hard drive. The overall hard-drive access rate seemed to diminish some so I eventually switched back. Awesome signature graphic by the way!
