Did you know the fig is not a fruit?
A fig is technically a flower.
A flower that is inverted.
A flower that is pollinated by a single wasp.
A wasp that must give up its life in order for the fig to be,
The fig is a flower that blossoms from within,
but to the world as the flower fades,
old wrinkled skin is all we perceive.

I didn't know the fig was a flower :) That's neat.

I must be turning into a fig then, my skin is starting to wrinkle.

The flower is a born again Christian.
The wasp is Jesus.
So that we may blossom from within, invisible to the eye.
Though we end up with wrinkled skin, on the inside we are beautiful.

Thanks for a wonderful post.
