Did Jesus call Gentiles dogs?

The Zionists base their special attention to the Jews on, among other things, Matthew 15:26. They think Jesus called the woman a dog simply because she was a Gentile. Is this true? Did Jesus Christ who created all men reject a man just because of his ancestry? Absolutely not! God is not a racist! But the Zionists are racists!

Why did Jesus call her a dog? For that we have to look at the context. Before the encounter between the woman and Jesus, verse 22 emphasizes that this woman is a Canaanite, that is, a Gentile. Why does Matthew emphasize this? In the second part of the same verse the author gives us the answer, because the woman came to Jesus and addressed him with the title "Son of David". But this title was generally used only by Jews. The Gentiles usually did not know the Bible at all. What I want to say with it is that the woman pretended to be a Jew although she is not, she took something in her mouth of which she had actually no idea! The reason for this was because she believed that Jesus would not help her if he knew she was a Gentile. So she wanted to get her blessing by deception. But she did not know that the man who stood before her was more than just a man, that this man who stood before her was the living God Himself, who knows all hearts (Matt 9:4)! Because she wanted to deceive Jesus, Jesus called her a dog and not because she was a Gentile! And rightly so, whoever tries to deceive God is a dog! But she repented afterwards, whereupon Jesus forgave her and healed her daughter. God is all-forgiving!

That Jesus did not reject the woman just because she was a Gentile is also seen in the fact that Jesus had healed Gentiles before (Matt 8:5-13, Matt 4:24).

Already in the OT God makes clear that the Jews are like any other people, they are not better (Amos 9:7). God wants only one thing, that we follow Him. If you don't follow Him, you are a dog to Him.

I would agree that God is not a racist, so the question is why are you?

You deliberately started a thread on the hated "Zionists," and are constantly on about them in thread after thread as if you're obsessed, and are plagued by a very deep-seated racism against Jews.

What makes you think people can't see through the hypocrisy in your going on and on about how racist the zionists are when you are apparently worse?

I think you understand it, and clearly by today's standards it would not have been a politically correct statement, but the woman accepted it well and reasoned with Jesus equally as he had reasoned with her, therefore Jesus granted her request. In a few short years, the blessings would be open to all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, not just the descendants of Abraham.

The theology of the Hebrews. the children of Jacob/Israel especially the religious order of people was a prayer they usually spoke:

"I thank you, God, that I was NOT BORN a Gentile, or a slave, or a female."

But in one sentence meant for believers, especially the "Jewish" believers blew that theology out of the water:

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Gal. 3:28–29.

Did Jesus call Gentiles dogs?

I'll take a stab at this ... my 2 cents worth...
People’s bias’s prompts them to believe that everything God does is intended for them. Everything Jesus said and everything the God did is related to their lives. This is fallacy. From Abraham until Jesus’ death, scripture reveals God almost entirely ignored Gentiles and describes them as enemies in Romans 5:10, Ephesians 2:11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands— 12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. The only notable exception is Jonah who was told to go to Nineveh where the Gentiles of Nineveh repented.

Other Gentile exceptions: Syrian general Naaman, Ruth the Moabite, Rahab at Jericho.

  • Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritan [half Jew/half Gentile], 6 but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
  • Matthew 15:24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
  • Matthew 27:37 And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.
  • John 1:11 He [Jesus] came to his own [Israel], and his own people [Israel] did not receive him.
[about 10 years after Christ’s death the believing, Jewish leaders still have had nothing to do with Gentiles] Acts 11:1 Now the apostles and the brothers [the “big shots” of Jewish, believing assemblies criticizing Peter for going to Gentiles because their teaching of the Law and from Jesus was to avoid Gentiles; they were “dogs" to quote Jesus Matthew 15:26] who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

The Zionists are racists. Paul calls them dogs (Phil 3:2).

God has never favored Jews (Amos 9:7).
Sorry to disappoint you:

7 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: 8 But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Dt 7:7–8.

'Nuff said.

This oath was only for those who were obedient to God. All Jews who were not obedient to God were killed by God. The Zionists are not obedient to God, they are racists and you proved it with the wicked prayer quote. All are equal before God (Amos 9:7) and only those who follow God are loved by God.

I have read the Torah in its entirety several times, you can put your deceitful games aside.

I'm a Gentile who knows where the love comes from.

But given the "Jews" were a scattered people throughout history who really knows if I have "Jewish" blood in me.
As Christian I do know I belong to one of the 12 spiritual tribes of Israel.
I think Benjamin.

The Covenant of God to His people is not man-centered.
It is God-centered.

16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again:
But the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Prov. 24:16.

and only those who follow God are loved by God.
Rom 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Jhn 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1Jo 4:8, He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1Jo 4:16, And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

The Torah is not Bible. It is like a commentary.

The Scripture. That's what you should be reading.
It is the Word of God. But not just any translation will do.
Read the Authorized Version: King James Version.

Hi jeremiah1five

Excuse me? How is the torah not the bible? It is literally the same first five books, translated of course, that is in the copy of the Scriptures you hold in your hand. So, it is not the complete Scriptures, but most certainly a part of the Scriptures. And a part that even Jesus referenced several times as being the Scriptures.

God bless,
Ted

Hello,

Mathew 15.22-26.

22. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

It is clear she is not an Israelite as she was from Canaan.

23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us

It was obvious Jesus and his disciples knew she was not an Israelite because Jesus didn't respond to her and his disciples became tired of her pleading and asked Jesus to send her away.

But like all the other people there she still needed his help and what parent wouldn’t seek out treatment or a cure for their children or loved one.

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Jesus reminds the women he has only come to save and meet the needs of his people.

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

The women knowing, she was not an Israelite pleaded with him she was not trying to be deceptive or hide her identity she was asking for his compassion and mercy.

26 But he answered and said, it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Jesus gives her a practical example and said you’re not supposed to take your children’s food and feed it to the dogs or to their pets

27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

The women agrees with Jesus analogy and says that is true Lord but don’t the dogs or pets eat the crumbs food or scraps from the children’s food that falls onto the floor.

Indicating people will no longer eat food that falls onto the ground because now its dirty and unclean to them.

but to dogs and pets it’s a bonus and they will gladly accept any leftovers.

28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Jesus met the women’s need not because of her origin or race but because she clarified his example and he honored and rewarded her faith.

We are fortunate this example exist because it reminds us to meet the needs of other people in any capacity
regardless of our doctrines or traditions.

Peace.
