Do Believers In Hell Fire Actually Believe?

You can go yell it on top of the mountain that you believe what that verse says until you're blue in the face, but the undeniable truth remains . . . you don't act like it. That is the whole theme of this thread.

You. People. Don't. Act. Like. It.

But you don't know me and my intentions, that's just your opinion. Are you assuming that you know what's in my heart? God judges me, not you. Who's on crack again? The Holy Spirit?

Well, if I can tell who the hypocrite is, I'm most certainly sure that God can.

I never said that the Holy Spirit wrote that verse. You said it, but it's funny how you don't act like the Holy Spirit wrote that verse.

Oh you didn't know your assumptions and opinions about man is flawed without scripture? :shame It sounds like you're digging yourself a deeper grave on judgement day. The prophet that wrote Revelation was indwelled with the Holy Spirit, you didn't know that??? :shame

but what you believe is different than what scripture says. it says torment forever and ever in Revelation 20:10. :confused
Only those who believe on the Son are granted eternal life....i believe that....ever hear of that scripture? And by the way...the orginal Greek for Revelation 20:10 is 'ages and ages' not forever and ever...now you didn't answer my question urk...Why does it bother you that i don't believe that a loving and merciful God would take his disobedient creatures and horribly torture them with no hope of ever having and end to their agonies? Why does that bother you?

I see what I see, and I react accordingly. So do you, by the way. You and I are both behaving as if there is no such thing as an eternal torture chamber. Hmmm . . . :confused

Where do the unbelieving dead go right now and what state are they in?

ages and ages?? oh Lord please help us. :toofunny

You're confused because you assume I'm not acting like it in my heart. Shame on you. :shame

What state?? i would say that some are in Tennessee but anyways.... The dead whether they were saved or unsaved are in a state of "sleep" a way that scripture in many places refer to death. The first death. Have you not read where some will be resurrected for eternal life and others will be resurrected for judgment? :)

And by the way...the orginal Greek for Revelation 20:10 is 'ages and ages' not forever and ever.

What does the greek version say about the worm not dying and the fire not being quenched in Mark 9:48 ?

Edom is located south of Judea on the earth. The lake of fire in Revelation 20:10 is not on earth. It's in hell. utterly faithful is right sir.
Was I trying to equate the lake of fire and Edom to be the same place? Please read my message again as I was trying to demonstrate how this exact same imagery used in Revelation is used in other apocalyptic accounts where it most certainly does NOT mean what those who take a literal interpretation of passages like Revelation 14:9-13 would mean.

Please take your time and read it again.

But when you came in to the argument, we were talking about a different scripture. The scripture I was referring too was Revelation 20:10 in that there will be torment forever and ever for the false prophet. Revelation 14:9-13 does not have the 'lake of fire' in this scripture, you're right. The lake of fire is a place, where is it located in Revelation 20:10? AND ALSO, how do you know that Revelation 14:9-13 isn't speaking about people who died already without Christ? How do you know that it's not describing hell? Notice Revelation 14:13 says blessed are the dead which die in the Lord!

I Agree if we have questions we should at times consult the original languages. And forever and ever does not speak as strongly as eis aion aion as to the description of NEVER ENDING.

I personally have a problem with your idea because it lessens the Idea of the cross. God manifested his Love and mercy by Giving us the best that He Has. And your saying that God and His Son is not loving enough. He needs to do more.

God did not show us enough LOVE by killing His Son For us? Do you tirelessly witness the Son till you drop over with complete exhaustion every night?

And what happens to those resurrected for judgment?
Is this a test? Those whom you speak of will be cast into the Lake of Fire...this is referred to as the second death...in that place after they are resurrected they will die again hence the term second death. The error of the traditional view is that these people will also become immortal or be given eternal life which is a direct violation of argueably the most popular bible verse- John 3:16. Instead of burning forever they will burn up or out.:)

Check out this verion of the bible called "The Voice"? Never heard of it until right now. It's on Biblegateway

John 3

16 For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life. 17 Here’s the point. God didn’t send His Son into the world to judge it; instead, He is here to rescue a world headed toward certain destruction

36 Those who believe in the Son will bask in eternal life, but those who disobey the Son will never experience life. They will know only God’s lingering wrath.

I like the way you think.

It only lessens the idea of the cross in your head...not mine. You must have this need for those who are unsaved to suffer endlessly...i don't. When did i say that 'God and His Son is not loving enough. He needs to do more.'??? You must have me confused with someone else. You worship a God who kills His Son??? You worship a God who tortures people for eternity??? You are one confused individual. God did not kill his Son...Jesus chose to lay down his life for us. As for you last question...no...is that going to get me 'unsaved' since i don't?:)
