Hypocrisy. In our world we've seen plenty lately.
  • Mayor of Chicago visiting a hair salon during government ordered lockdowns earlier this summer, claiming she has special needs that are above the law.
  • House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visiting a hair salon during government ordered lockdowns, claiming she was setup by the salon owner. Apparently she didn't know better.
  • Joe Biden claiming president Trump failed by not ordering a national mask mandate back in March while he has not put himself on a mandate during the same time period. Apparently it only matters if it is government ordered and not necessarily if one believes it is the best thing to do.
  • Groups like BLM claiming to be fighting for racial equality when in reality they are fighting for black supremacy. Case in point. Hawk Newsome, the founder and president of the greater NYC BLM organization is quoted saying, "If this country doesn't give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking ... figuratively. I could be speaking literally." and "I just want black liberation and black sovereignty, by any means necessary." (Recorded interview with Martha McCallum of Fox News)
  • People supporting government health care while doing nothing themselves toward helping others in need of health care. Apparently it only applies if government does it but doesn't apply to the individual. Jesus never addressed using government for social needs but rather addressed individuals to do the work.
  • People supporting socialism while they wait for government to act rather than doing what they can themselves to help the less fortunate. Using government to take from the rich and give to the poor is a form of theft and again Jesus never advocated for socialist ideals but rather each individual is commanded to take care of the sick, homeless, etc. This is emphasized in Matthew 25 when He used the word "you."
“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’" Matthew 25:31-36 NKJV

Cowboys being 3 wins and 8 loses and not winning a super bowl game in 24 years ... yet, they are called America's Team.
*sobs*

Im trying to figure out if this is a double standard. As far as i was aware cannabis is not decrimilised or legalised in the country by law. Unless its owe rule for some and one rule for another.

I didn't read through the entire article but only skimmed it but it sounds like they're talking about raising marijuana for medicinal uses. Is this correct? If so, even if the drug is not street legal, this would still not be a double standard. There are a lot of things that are not street legal such as alcohol or tobacco to minors, pharmaceutical drugs with many that are derived from illegal substances like opium, and any other drug that is administered by prescription only.

More hypocrisy.
  • I saw a video about an LA restaurant owner that is currently locked down by government order. This business owner says she spent roughly $100,000.00 to modify her parking lot to accommodate outdoor seating in compliance with earlier orders this summer. Now that she's locked down again, she can't even use the outdoor seating. At the same time, a movie producer is allowed to setup an outdoor seating and eating area right next door within 50' of her business.
  • While listening to Seize the Day with Gus Lloyd on The Catholic Channel earlier this summer I heard about how churches were limited to outdoor services only and with a maximum of 12 people. At the same time, casinos were allowed to be open at 50% capacity indoors. Couple things to keep in mind here. Capacity is not based on available seating. It is based on fire codes for the number of people allowed. Also, when outdoors the potential for spreading the virus is considerably lower than it is indoors. Even if the church property outdoors was large enough to allow for more than 12 people even if social distancing was applied, why were they limited to 12 while the casinos are not?

A double standard is when a rule or law does not apply to everyone equally. If you do something you recieve a penalty while someone else who does the same thing gets a free pass because the rule or law does not apply to them.

Like when someone can express a biased political opinion on here, and not get reprimanded you mean?

Original Mohammad said that a Muslim can only have 4 wives.

Original Mohammad had 12 wives.

According to Muslims original Mohammad is a Muslim.
Don't do what I do . Do what I say. Hypocrisy is more common than you think. It's almost the natural order of things.

I know why Jesus never casted a stone, its because he did not want to be a hypocrite because he knew the penalty for the offence was equal to the penalty given out by the law.

There is no eye for an eye. Thats a double standard.
