Eaten Alive

They showed a picture of a guy that was constricted by a snake and the man's head was in the snakes mouth.

There was a story out a year or so ago about 2 boys sleeping on the living room floor of their apartment, the neighbors boa got lose and killed the boys.

It's disgusting. I think those guys are stupid to be messing with those snakes.
I wouldn't mind owning a pet snake, but it's wise to educate yourself on pets before owning them. (Including dogs. Lots of people get a dog not knowing how to choose a breed that's right for them or how to train it.)

Good point. Remember when 101 Dalmations, the movie came out? All the kids got a dalmation for Christmas, but they aren't really a child's pet.

It seems with the tank and lights, etc. that you need for any snakes or reptile, it could get expensive. We had a garter snake pit nearby our house, in the spring/summer there would be 100's of baby snakes, we'd catch them, they'd bite us, catch them again.

Yes,the Humane Society is always saying for parents not to do that.

Yeah, if I recall, Dalmatians are recommended for people who are experienced with dogs.

We found hognose eggs while they were hatching once.

I do not like snakes at all but I think they should have just left it alone.
Kathi, when the snake starts squeezing you real hard, don't worry. That just means the snake likes you a lot.

Whoa! I bet that was pretty cool to watch. Do you live in the US? We don't have those on the west coast.

Could a snake that size really consume a human alive?

Yes. Actually the snake squeezes the person to death before consuming them.

I've seen pictures.

Not a pretty sight. :nono
.

First, he and his team stalked that snake. Second, they tempted, taunted, then held that snake in unwarranted custody. Third, they subjected the snake to mass ridicule because the snake didn't respond as they wished.
Hmm....sounds like the team was a bunch of narcissists.

The acid in the boa's constrictor's stomach pretty much turns all to liquid, including bones, in a very short period of time.

Dalmations are really known to be born deaf.Only about 70% have normal hearing.

US, east coast. It was super cool. I wish I had had a camera at the time.

The state park used to have little baby snakes. They used to have nature classes, and they'd led you hold the snakes. But they're too big to be held by anyone not trained now. They had a king snake, hognose, and a legless lizard. (Which isn't a snake, but it looks like one.)

My daughter loved snakes.A guy came to her school and was in an assembly. He had all kind of reptiles. He had this huge snake. He asked all the kids who would like to wrap the snake around their shoulders. All the kids stepped back except my daughter.I still have the picture the school took of her.

Hm. Not good. Responsible breeders need to be looking into that and looking to breed it out.
